Breakfast was delicious and Julia was very kind and helpful. Beautiful old building in a quiet side street but within walking distance of the town center. We had a spacious family room which worked well for us and our three young children. We really enjoyed our stay!

We liked everything about the Amber House Hotel. Our room was big. The bed was very comfy. Breakfast was good, with a nice selection. Great location. Short stroll to Goodrington Sands and just a little further walk into Paignton. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a beautiful garden. A shame the weather wasn't kinder to us. We would definitely recommend 👌

    Love the location, lovely town to stay, close to shops and facilities but quiet and tucked away. Great host provided everything we needed. While compact, the accommodation was perfectly suited for all 4 of us, 2 adults, 2 kids. Kids room was lovely too and had it's own bathroom!!!!

    Very comfortable. Delicious breakfast (including good coffee, fresh fruit, home made jam). Friendly, helpful and responsive hosts. Great location, especially for SW Coast Path (buses to Salcombe and Dartmouth 2 minutes'walk away). About 10 minutes' walk down hill into Kingsbridge, with a choice of pubs and restaurants.

    Great host. Ideal for walking and peace and quiet. Exceptionally clean and welcoming room. It is set up so that you can take your own food and eat in the outside covered area,,with fridge etc. this is a real bonus.

    We loved the location. It had a lovely view of the estuary, it was quiet and peaceful, up a country Lane in a farm location. Breakfast wAs great, anything you wanted, provided by a charming, chatty host. Only three rooms to rent, so felt very personal. Our personal bathroom was huge, both a bath and a shower, which was across the passageway directly opposite our room. Each room had its own personal bathroom. Bed extremely comfortable, and all amenities you would expect were provided, including a little fridge.
