Rural location so you need a car or can access by bus. Lovely view from room over the hills. Nice spacious rooms with comfortable beds. We had 2 rooms. Breakfast was 'help yourself / look after yourself buffet. This was fine as there was plenty of choice and the food was fresh.

I booked the courtyard studio and it was amazing. It had everything I needed including a fridge, microwave and toaster. The bed was huge and super comfy. I had a lovely relaxing stay. The staff were all lovely and nothing was to much trouble. They don't do evening meals which I was aware of before I stayed but there is plenty of local placed to eat. I would definitely recommend this guesthouse and will be staying again when in the area.

Very friendly staff, everything we needed in the twin room we had even a mini fridge. Beds were comfortable and rooms very quiet, we were not disturbed at all. Exceptional full English breakfast included in the price. Very modern inside the bar downstairs and the guest house as a whole. Bar was reasonably priced with a huge variety of gins. Just looked at staying again in a week or so but sadly full.

This is a guest house above a pub. We had a large double bed which could be made into a twin which was super comfy. The room was a good size with a decent size bathroom with a shower. There is parking outside the pub and the guesthouse is about 20 minutes drive from Sunderland Stadium of light. The local area is lovely with the coast only a short drive away. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

Stayed here for one night, so me an my partner had some privacy away from a busy house. The White House is absolutely spotless - room was so comfy - nothing to fault at all. Geoff is so down to earth and had a great little chat with him, Met another lovely couple while staying also! The decking is a fab sunny spot for a beer too! Only met Adele briefly at breakfast but she was lovely & all round a great host! Thankyou! Perfect night away re charge 👌

Geoff and Adele are great hosts and have turned what had become a derelict property into an incredible place to stay Geoff's attention to detail as a skilled carpenter/ builder shows in every detail of the renovation and their enthusiasm for the place really comes through in the welcome they give their guests. They really deserve to succeed.
