Had a good stay, 80 lari for bed, dinner and breakfast. Was a little more expensive than other guesthouses I stayed at on the mestia-ushguli trek but not necessarily better

Ushguli is a rather unique place in Georgia, and staying here at Nizharadze's Tower was wonderful. Nizharadze's Tower is within the second cluster of buildings when coming from Mestia, and there are plenty of Svan Towers, livestock footprints, and narrow lanes. The hostesses are wonderful, insisting that I take off my shoes at the door (which is the Georgian custom.. and seeing how some of the alleyways are quite dirty, it is a sensible request!) My room was warm and comfortable and the hostesses meals were plentiful and delicious. I was also able to meet an interesting cross-section of tourists hailing from places such as Czechia and Japan. The hostesses have a few friendly but unobtrusive dogs on the premises... and I suspect they help feed some of the less lucky canines in the neighborhood as well.
Featuring river views, Betegi Guest House in Mestia offers accommodations, a garden, and a terrace. This guest house provides free private parking and a mini-market.

The guest house features nice, freshly renovated interior. It had everything that we needed. The view was fantastic. There was a tasty and not expensive dinner, 30 lari per person. Also, the host was a kind and hospitable person.

A great location in the historical site among old towers and buildings. There are no modern buildings within this village and it creates a perfect atmosphere. The hotel is a cozy nice styled old house with 2 guest rooms and cafe. Very delicious food in cafe with European breakfasts and Georgian cuisine. Nice owners and big kind dog :)
Hot water and good Wi-Fi

Featuring a garden, Vichnashi provides accommodations in Mestia. The guest house features mountain views, a sun terrace, a 24-hour front desk, and free Wifi is available.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Great stay for the last night of the Mestia - Ushguli trek. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. They also spoke very good English. Food (dinner and breakfast) was very good and with generous portions. Room was good too. Shared bathrooms were big and clean. The guest house has also a big garden to relax in the evening. We highly recommend staying in Lalkhori if you’re doing the trek as the last day it’s shorter in km.
This guesthouse was about 3km away from Iprari, but it’s worth it to walk the additional distance for a private bathroom, let alone it was on the trek to Ushguli which would shorten the next day’s journey. The room was clean and comfy. The hosts were very nice and helpful. They barely spoke English but we could communicate with Google translation smoothly. The food was good and cost-effective. To sum up, we’ve had a nice stay at Dauber.
The owner is a very sweet lady and the bar next to the guest house was very nice too, as was the guesthouse itself. Would recommend staying here for sure!
Very nice guesthouse - a comfy place with a very pleasant host. The girl who welcomed us and made (a nice) dinner was very good at English and that made everything very easy. they also have a small market and the possibility to buy beer etc. If you’re hiking from Mestia to Ushguli you have to walk a tiny bit longer on day 3, but your 4th day will be shorter and you’ll be in good hands :)
After a very long day of hiking, the Guesthouse Lalkhori was a small piece of paradise!
- the host was super helpful and genuinely nice, she arranged for a transfer to Mestia the next day ;
- the dinner (30 lari/Person) was really good, the breakfast (included) as well ;
- they were 2 bathroom/wc which was convenient ;
- the building is surrounded by a big garden and it is perfect to spend some time after a hike ;
- beers and friendly big doggo!
