Niño was an excellent host, and the whole family was friendly, helpful, and hard-working. The food was very good, and I enjoyed playing board games with the children. Excellent value accommodation, and a wonderful place to stay in a nice, quiet, and attractive village.

The hotel is located in Old Omalo, near Keselo Fortress. The room was comfy, clean. It had all the supplies, moreover the staff was friendly and helpful, thus we had everything that we needed. Nino's cooking is worth a special mention. It was so delicious, so even though we stayed at another hotel on our way back, we came several times to A North Stay for breakfasts and dinners.

Perfect place to stay if you want to visit the Tusheti region. We were there 2 nights, and explored the region for another 5 days.

They offered to come get us in Alvani and we felt very safe during the drive.
I would recommend this place to anyone!

My stay at Guest House Shina was perfect. The owner, Natia, was extremely kind and helpful the whole time and organized my ride up to Omalo from Kvemo Alvani. The room I had was lovely, the bed was super comfortable and cozy with a good bathroom, and a picturesque balcony area where I could relax with a lovely view of Upper Omalo. You definitely won’t be hungry, as the breakfast and dinner served are delicious and come in huge portions, which is perfect both before and after a long day of hiking. If you are visiting Omalo I’d highly recommend staying at Guest House Shina, and I’m sure you won’t regret either!

The hosts were incredibly hospitable, they cooked great breakfast and dinner every day and even made us a packed lunch for our hike. Best view in the village with no other buildings obstructing the landscape - a dream to wake up to every morning.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
This guest house is run by a very welcoming host. Made us feel right at home. There is tea and coffee for whenever you want, and the food served is good. Perfect rest stop after/ before atsunta pass. They can also wash your clothes!
Nino and her family were wonderful hosts. She also served up the most tasty dinner we have had during our stay in Georgia. Shenako is a very picturesque and historical Tusheti village. We warmly recommend a stay here!
We had an amazing stay at Above the Clouds. The host couldn’t have done enough for us and the accommodation was clean and nice. The food and wine was 10/10 - would recommend to anyone. Thank you.
This is such a welcoming place and a great spot to relax after a day of hiking. The veranda is such a nice place to chill out. The hosts are wonderful and the food is fantastic.
The location and quality of the rooms was great. But what was best, was the hospitality and friendliness of the hosts. I highly recommend this guesthouse if you walk the Omalo- Shatili trekking.
Very friendly hosts, after arriving we received a fruit platter with some home grown strawberries and freshly baked bread. The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. One of the best guesthouses we stayed at during our three weeks in Georgia! Would definitely come again.
