I booked Metohi Nature Living for 3 nights on very short notice after a terrible Airbnb experience and my first night in Crete. I'm very glad I chose this place - the hosts were incredibly helpful and accommodating and really made me feel comfortable. I was able to properly relax for the first time since arriving on the island, and it served as an excellent base for my two day trips in Eastern Crete.

Popi was an amazing host and truly cared about my experience. She and her son even picked me up from a nearby town since I did not have a car - what an amazing gesture.
The apartment was located in a picturesque spot and hiking trails were not too far off. The AC worked well. It was nice to spend time on the big balcony, unwind with complimentary Netflix and take a warm bath in the evening.

The location was perfect. Very nice area with lovely flowers and small streets. It was a bit up the hill but not a problem.
The communication before, during and after was excellent. Very quick in responding to my questions. Also arranged transfer from the airport for a reasonable price.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
The room was spacious with a great view. A good-sized kitchenette, balcony and shower. The view from the room was nice, and quiet. It is slightly secluded from the main town and road, which we appreciated. About a 15-minute walk into town where you have access to 2 restaurants and 1 café. The Eco-Park section is an absolute gem. Highly-recommended for a delicious breakfast and then to visit the grounds.
Fabulous place, we went just for one night but definitely worth a much longer stay. The Lasithi plain, surprisingly green, is kind of a magical place and from our apartment we had a superb view. The apartment was large, well-equipped, very clean and the bed confortable. The hosts were nice and they manage an Eco-Park which seems worth visiting, even if we had no time to go through it. Highly reccomendable!
