It’s great value for money. About 12 mins walk from the town across a car park. It’s quite basic but good. Good pool and very clean.
Family-run Pension George is located in Karterados, just 1.2 mi from Fira, or a 15-minute walk. Surrounded by a garden with exotic plants, cacti and flowers, it hosts a swimming pool.

Loved this hotel!! It’s about a 15 minute walk to Fira, lots of restaurants and markets close by! The area has a great vibe! Irene was fantastic, she provided us with loads of information about the island. Would absolutely recommend staying here!!
Offering a shared hot tub, the traditionally built Aerino Villa is located in the scenic Firostefani. It features air-conditioned accommodations with minimal decoration and views over the caldera.

It takes a lot to write a review. For someone who doesn't write review, it's either super good or super bad for them to write a review. This hotel exceeded my expectation that i am willing to take the time to write a review. We stayed 3 nights 1st week of October 24'. The room has great view of the sea, the caldera and the sunset. you can watch sunset from your own hotel room (we did). Location is EXCELLENT, cannot be better. It is close to everything, 10 mins walk to Fia, 2 mins walk to one of the blue domed church, 10 mins to Airport, and 20 mins to Oia. Fia in comparison, is crowded and noisy. This hotel in Firostefani is the perfect location. Easy to catch a taxi, easy to find if you arrive at night. We arrived at 22:15pm at night and Flora made sure we got settled in our room. What's important is that this hotel has easy and safe access to the street if you arrive by car, like less than 2 mins walk. You don't need to carry your suitcase walking many stairs up and down. Not many people realize that all the hotels on the cliff are accessed by stairs only. BREAKFAST IS EXCEPTIONAL!!!!!! We were sold on the breakfast picture when booking the room, and we loved the breakfast every day. The breakfast picture is real, it is really what you get. The few neighborhood hotels below, their breakfast quality is just no way in comparison to this breakfast. I am not a bread person, but I ate the whole basket of bread every. single. day..... Also, a very good restaurant "TOBRIKI" next door and the Gyro place right across the villa. This is a hotel I already recommended to my friends. Flora is super nice, arranged taxi for us to the port. The lovely cleaning lady made us breakfast every day. we wish we stayed longer :)
Aura Suites is located in Firostefani, 2.2 mi from Volcano and features Caldera views. Every room at this guest house is air conditioned and comes with a flat-screen TV.

Staff very friendly. The room is very clean and the outdoor area is also cleaned every day. Beautiful sunset can be directly seen while chilling in the whirlpool. The hotel stuff also helped us to book a tour, and if needed, rental cars can be organized as well. The location is also perfect. Just right next to the town square (and the free parking lot).
Conveniently located with easy access to the shops and nightlife, very reasonable prices combined with a superb location make this family-run hotel the obvious choice for your stay in Santorini.

We loved sitting on the terrace with a view of the Caldera and sunset. The location is right off the walking path between Fira and Oia, with minimal steps.
Anna's, located in the village Karterados, offers friendly and familiar hospitality within a short distance (0.9 mi) from Santorini’s capital, Fira. Free Wi-Fi access is offered throughout.

Awesome place to stay!! Very helpful people over there.. The bedroom is very cosy! Not far from fira. Bus stop also is not far
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Absolutely stunning villa. Well equipped, spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and a bed to die for. Kostos was a great host, gave us loads of tips of where to visit and eat.
Danai is a super host ! A warm welcome and super advices on activities, sightseeing and restaurant ! It made our stay in Santorini very enjoyable.
The room is really comfy and makes you feel in your own private bubble. The village of Megalochori is small but charming and you can easily move with buses.
Located in cozy, quiet area near the port. Danae is super friendly and considerate host. She gave us a lot of tips and handled our requests flexibly.
Would highly recommend if you want to avoid hustle and bustle.
The absolute highlight of our stay was our host Sophia! She went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic stay. Such a delightful person - nothing was too much trouble. The villa itself is decorated in a lovely minimalist style, perfect for our group. And the pool and gardens are stunning. It’s just a short walk to quiet Megalochori with some nice restaurants and little shops.
Absolutely stunning views and the biggest swimming pool you’ll find in Santorini!! Beautiful room with huge tub and delicious food at the restaurant. We moved to Fira later and the hotels there have much smaller pools and aren’t as nice. Although it’s a quiet area, taxis are cheap and can take you everywhere. Highly recommend this hotel!!
Beautiful mini apartment that has most necessary amenities for a little vacation, quiet area away from the masses of tourists but nearby the main road. The jacuzzi bathtub was much appreciated. Everything super clean and the host helpful and kind! Definitely recommended.
It’s an experience in itself, not just a base to explore Santorini. The villa is apparently over 100 years old, every detail is unique to it and feels special. Definetly the one we’ll remember from the whole Greece trip. Surrounding town is well worth a visit, cosy and quiet during the day, the town square gets lively at dinner time. Loved our stay in the villa and the kids loved the pool. Inner courtyard is sunny and has complete privacy from the surrounding houses. The host is very kind and welcoming.
- Great host, always available and such a nice lady. She had a small typical greek café/restaurant right below the house. Though we arrived late and it was fully booked, she had food delivered to us on order (great typical greek dishes).
- Amazing and diverse breakfast.
- The house was beautifully decorated, great ambiance.
- The transfer was arranged for us.
- Such a quiet and lovely place in Santorini, away from all the chaos of Thira and Óia, though transfer service was available if booked in advance.
