United KingdomLovely place to get away from it all. Saw some lovely birds in surrounding trees from pur terrace. Easy to get into Coban. 10 min walk to bus stop where buses leave every few minutes.
Food was good too.

The mountain location provided a great respite from the heat of the lower elevations. It almost felt normal to us. Who would've thought we would be having a fire, and whilst not entirely necessary, it was really comforting to enjoy the heat and ambience. Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was the best I've had at any hotel/hostel ever. There is a kitchen guests can use but they charge Q20 to use it. They helped me with the bus to Lanquín and transport from Lanquín to Antigua, but it would have been Q25 cheaper to book the transport to Antigua in Lanquín. And if you book a shuttle in Lanquín they pick you up and you don't have to go to the bus stop yourself.Guest review byAydenSolo traveller

The hostal is undergoing Renovations but the staff were caring enough to ensure that we had a quiet room away from the building noise. It will be an exceptional place to stay when renovations are complete. Decor is tasteful and cheery, and the room was equipped with a closet, table, chair and reading lamp, and a super comfortable bed. We enjoyed our breakfast on the sweet balcony.
