I’m a light sleeper, and this guesthouse was easily one of the quietest places I’ve stayed in Southeast Asia. No roosters, no islamic prayer broadcasts in the middle of the night (a common occurrence in Java), and no traffic noise—an absolute dream for someone with insomnia! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, even offering me tea upon arrival. They also provide free drinking water, both in the room and in the shared kitchen. The room was spacious with a blackout curtain that effectively blocked out light. Best of all, it’s within walking distance of major attractions. For example, Gedung Saté is only 15 minutes away by foot.

It’s a step up from passable. Doesn’t have a communal foyer which always adds to a hotel feel. But room good size comfy bed good shower and they made an effort with a rice breakfast. But you can’t turn water into wine
