The accommodation is clean and cozy, and I was lucky to get a room right in front of the pool. The people here are incredibly lovely and kind, making the whole experience even more special. I will absolutely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for progressive surf sessions in a small, peaceful village with long, smooth waves. Suitable for all levels, and hands down the best surf coaching in town – you’ll get full support both in the water and through video analysis to refine your technique by professional surfers.
Huge thanks to Muklis, his team, and his family for making me feel so at home. Can’t wait to return!

The location on the beach was exactly where we wanted to be. Rafi was a perfect host and looked after us especially her delicious sourdough.
Restaurants are very close by and good value for dinner and lunch.

The accommodation was alright, good bed, clean room, AC ok but the shower didn’t work well.
Be aware that if you come during ramadan, there are many mosques around and you will have very loud speakers all day and all night. You get awake with the speaker at 3:30 5:00 6:30… and goes on until 23:00 sometimes later.
We didn’t have the luck to experience the accommodation on another period, could more quiet I guess.
We rented a bike with the manager Ahmad but the bike was very dangerous, we had issue with it every time we used it. We finally could change it after couple of days but still had to pay full price the bike…

Edi and his family were incredibly hospitable! The best omelette I’ve ever had for breakfast and some of the most breathtaking views from the property! 10/10

Spatious, cosy and comfortable room. Nice area in the garden where breakfast is served and where you can also have dinner. Friendly staff. Altogether, this is a nice place for a stopover on your coastal trip between Ubud/South Bali and Pemuteran/Lovina

It was right on the beach so the view from anywhere was spectacular. The staff are so friendly and speak excellent English . The pool was large and super clean . The massage was one of the best I’d had in Bali !!

Lovely stay at Riverside Medewi. Newly opened, so everything feels new. Huge comfortable bed. Large rooms. Fantastic view from the balcony. Best of all was Imron, super friendly dude who made my stay very comfortable. Gave me tea and biscuits in the morning before I left.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Such a cool and beautiful spot to stay. Tucked away nicely from the main road so very peaceful and quiet. The place is finished so well and has everything you need. He host Sup is super friendly and helpful.
Couldn't recommend this place enough!
It’s a magical accomodation in the peace and quiet of the jungle, but still nearby the main road, surf spots and beaches.
The neighbourhood is fantastic: rice fields, local houses, palm trees and the river.
Sup and his family we’re perfect hosts, always helpful and smiling. Sup also provides surf classes that I highly recommend. Best value for money
Place is a quaint 2/3 star hostel mainly for surfers, so don't expect anything luxurious here. The beach nearby is perfect for surfing. Place is quiet, being in a rather remote area - the plus side is that food prices nearby are really low. For reference, a very high quality chocolate milkshake from a nearby restaurant costed me less than 1 Singapore dollar, which is ridiculously cheap. Surfing lessons are provided for beginners. Great place to disconnect and chill.
You can rent scooters from the accommodation and they have a laundry service. The villa is very quiet and chill. They are only two rooms in the villa. The pool is very nice and next to the villa is the best restaurant in town, the name is avocado. Cheap and nice food! No Bali belly :). All in all I would book it again. In the other room was a German guy at the same time, his name was Nico. It was the best random there, because without Nico it could have been very boring. All the best to eddy(the owner)
The host Rafi is an exceptionally gorgeous soul. She was so accommodating, her bread is to live for 🤤 and her home is beautiful. My daughter had a blast playing in the pool with her youngest too! Rafi even helped take my daughter to the local doctor when she got Bali belly!
The area is quiet and secluded, perfect for relaxing. There is a couple of amazing places to eat nearby as well which are a short scenic walk away or a super quick easy scooter ride on a very quiet street.
Quiet, comfortable, lush tropical gardens, fresh fruit, breakfasts on the patio, dips in the pool, bintangs on the patio.
The staff were great and the accomodation was clean and comfortable.
Nice quiet change from busy crowded kuta.
If you surf, the Medewi left is as good as they say it is.
I've stayed at The Nyamo for 11 nights in total and I could've easily stayed more 😃 it's so close to the beach, very quiet. My bed was pretty comfortable and the fan and mosquito net were just perfect as it's not that hot in the night there as in some other parts of Bali. It's a simple accommodation but you get everything what you need. Access to the shared kitchen was great.
Riki is a great host and he also arranged transfer for me, scooter rental and the laundry.
We had a great stay at Sunsets at Sumbul. Great location right across from the beach, cheap but outstanding restaurants nearby (Nal's kitchen) along with an awesome coffee shop (best coffee I had in Bali) at nearby surf shop. Rafi made the best Nasi Goreng we had in Bali for breakfast. Great selection of breakfast options. Hosts were outstanding and so helpful.
Great hosts, a fantastic piece of surf coast not overrun by noisy crowds. The breakfasts were plentiful. The fruit bowl being the best on our 2 week round Bali travels. Accommodation very comfortable, lovely balcony for evening ocean viewing. Plenty of kitchen crockery etc to get you by and a good size fridge. Lovely beach, exceptionally cheap and good quality local food and coffee shop nearby. Medewi beach five minutes away giving more choice for going out.
