My stay at Rumah Paros was unforgettable, offering an authentic Balinese experience in a serene and picturesque setting. The property was surrounded by lush greenery, with traditional architecture and a peaceful ambiance that felt like a true escape from the outside world.
The hosts were warm and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure my comfort. Mornings were a highlight, with a delicious homemade breakfast featuring fresh tropical fruits, fragrant Balinese coffee, and local specialties like nasi goreng or banana pancakes. Made’s gallery is something to look out for, he’s super talented.
The rooms were cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated with Balinese touches, making the stay feel even more special. Whether relaxing on the veranda or exploring nearby temples and markets, this homestay offered the perfect blend of authenticity and comfort. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking to immerse themselves in Balinese culture.
Set within 6.4 km of Tegenungan Waterfall and 11 km of Monkey Forest Ubud, Taman Prabhawa offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Sukawati.

This is such a special place, and like others have said, the pictures really don't do it justice. It's absolutely stunning - the pool and gardens, as well as the architecture. The owner and staff are all so friendly and ready to help if needed. There is so much love and care that's gone into creating this place. Luckily, we were the only guests at the time, so we had the pool to ourselves!
The address that is shown on Booking is incorrect - the Google Maps address that shows the location as north of the main road is correct.
The immediate surrounding area is peaceful and quiet. There are rice fields at the back that we walked through, which were nice. The other direction (a 5-minute walk away from the property) is a busy road - which seems to be the case in much of Bali. For us, it was a special place to stay for a couple of nights before heading towards the airport.
The place is also open for photo shoots, which I was a bit worried about when I read it in the contract I was given to sign on arrival. But there was just a group on the last morning, which didn't really interrupt our stay. I think the staff will just need to ensure that the shoots don't affect the guests' experience of chilling by the pool, as a photo shoot has a very different energy!
Offering a garden and garden view, Royen Balinese Family Guest House- Traditional Batuan Homestay is located in Sukawati, 8.2 km from Goa Gajah and 8.4 km from Monkey Forest Ubud.

This place has every comfort . It is beautifully appointed, spacious comfortable and clean . Excellent Wifi , good hot water , generous breakfast , clean drinking water provided. Best of all is the warm friendliness of Wayan , Kadek and family. 4 generations living in harmony .
I felt so welcomed and included , also my privacy was respected. The house is just so very beautiful , the gardens immaculate and the family temple is quite grand. The patriarch of the family is a painter of longstanding and very interesting to chat to. Wayan and Kadek are marvellous cooks . They are very caring human beings and took such good care of me when I was sick after a dental treatment !!
There are beautiful walks to the rice fields just down the lane . The homestay is in a village rich in traditional culture and not far from the beautiful waterfall and Sukawati art market

Fast check-in. Welcome drink. Clean pool with different depth levels. Tea at 5 o'clock with dessert. Very tasty dinner. Excellent choice for breakfast and it was very tasty. Daily cleaning. Tea, coffee, daily water in glass bottles in the room. Clean bed linen, towels. Good water pressure, cold and hot, in the shower. Everything as described, only better. I would like to thank all the staff, especially Ayu for the wonderful feeling of home, Dewa for the absence of problems, Nengah for the perfectly prepared breakfasts and dinners.

We are two korean women. Ari Cottage Ubud has many good things. These are Nice location, cozy atmosphere and warm-hearterd staffs! But one bad thing was an electic kettle pot looked to be cleaned. Except for this, this hotel was so cool and gave us comfortable staying experience in Ubud.

The villa itself is amazing, but the main asset of it is its people who are running this place. Rita makes the best nasi goreng in the entire ubud. My wife is vegetarian and she was struggling with food in general in Bali, but never had any issues with breakfast. Exceptional service overall and real desire to help.
Located in Ubud centre, 1.2 km from Ubud Palace and 1.3 km from Saraswati Temple, Kartika Bungalows provides accommodation with free WiFi and a terrace.

This was one of our fav places to stay in bali. Anytime we go to Ubud, we will stay here. We loved it so much, we changed our plans to come back to stay again. (Try book direct for value!) The staff were so accommodating to any of our requests, and very friendly always smiling & greeting us by names. The gardens were so lovely, with beautiful flowers and green rice fields. They had a yoga area as well. The pool was amazing with heaps of seats around. We had breakfast included and we looked forward to it everyday, food here was delicious and fresh. We felt very safe, the rooms were secure. The wifi was awesome, with different ones for each areas. The rooms were clean, and bathroom was very spacious. Definitely recommend to any couples or families wanting to relax by beautiful scenic views and be close to the cafes, restaurants and monkey forrest.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Great location in a quiet area surrounded by beautiful rice fields - the best price-quality ratio I had during my stay on the island. Very good service and delicious breakfasts (especially in the gazebo, which added a lot to the experience of eating together with the family).
Very nice owner and a big plus for preparing a pdf document with recommendations and information about the facility.
Beautiful quiet villas. We stayed in No 5 with a private pool and it was just gorgeous waking up overlooking the jungle. Also when swimming has a great view. The staff are lovely and the garden around the property are just gorgeous.
Currently looks unavailable on booking.com so got to website to book https://www.balimasari.com/
Absolutely worth a visit
Chill spot, quiet and outside city center. Good for relaxing, working and cooking. Well equipped facilities. The 2 brother cats are so friendly, stayed longer for them!
It was a secluded, beautiful oasis in a quaint place near Ubud. The villa was in gorgeous rustic, traditional style, charming. The best thing about the place was our elegant and most attentive hostess Ari. Helpful, softspoken, the best!
Beautiful setting in a quiet, non-touristy area of Bali, which I much preferred to some of the more popular areas. Everything is a lot cheaper around there too. The family who own the home are very friendly and kind, will help you with anything you need, the breakfast is delicious and can be catered to vegans! I hired a scooter and did laundry with them, both of which were super cheap and easy to do. Thank you Made and family for an amazing stay!
Locally run, 3 villa setting with very welcoming and helpful host. Quiet and relaxing and about 15 minute walk from Sukawati center. Perfect for people who want to get away from the busy side of Bali and want to see the more traditional side.
very luxurious nice quiet location.
