It was wonderful! Compact, with everything you need. My only problem, and many places have this problem, is that the rooms need luggage racks so one doesn’t have to get down on the floor to get in the closet.

Breakfast was not provided. Mary was a charm, an absolute joy to meet her. She went out of the way to make sure our party of six was taken care of, even provided warm coats and hats if needed to try and see the Northern Lights! She always had a big smile and made us feel very welcome.

THE FORTWELL BOARDING HOUSE enjoys a location in Letterkenny, 8.9 miles from Raphoe Castle and 10 miles from Oakfield Park.

We arrived and hat to wait until „Katherine“ sent us videos via WhatsApp with the code and our room location, once we got those there was no key in one of our boxes so we called the number provided and a dude told us he’ll be right there but then wrote us we should just look for it then wrote us he’s coming then wrote us we should look again and then he came and threw the key to the ground. The towels did not look clean and one of our rooms right next to the entrance could not be locked.
