Aras is a little gem in one of the most wild beautiful parts of Donegal. Leon and Gillian are wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble. Aras has everything you need at a more than reasonable price. Leon and Gillian actually made us feel very much at home. I will definitely be back.

A warm welcome on a cold & windy day 😃 the house was warm, cozy & spotless. The facilities were fantastic & our very own musician added to ambiance but it was indeed the view which was the highlight! Magnificent (until it disappeared 😉)

As others have said, the view is stunning and it's a great spot for a remote getaway. The room itself was immaculate, and the owner was friendly and happy to provide local recommendations.
I spent a few days there but needed to work, and the WiFi was perfectly sufficient for everything I needed to do, including a few video calls.
For those not comfortable with single-lane Donegal roads, approaching the property via Glenties to Portnoo will be less intimidating than going to Rossbeg via Ardara. But either way Google Maps genuinely does lead you right to the door.
I'm looking forward to staying here again.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Great location and fantastic house. We had all 9 bed spaces filled and there was more than enough room for all of us. The kitchen was well equipped and we made good use of the communal dining area.
Everything was as advertised.
The host was quick to respond to any questions we had.
Very tastefully decorated and well equipped brand new cottage, perfectly clean and quiet. Hosts friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. Ideal location to visit the Slieve league and all the surrounding natural spots. One of our best holidays apartments in Ireland.
The host was very kind and accomodating. The place was very nice, big, tidy and comfortable. Well equiped. Near a beach. In a small friendly village. Would totally recommend for a quiet comfortable stay.
Just a short walk to the local pubs, a charming host that welcomed us with afternoon tea and a delicious breakfast with strong coffee just like this American likes!
The scenery surrounding the cottage was absolutely beautiful, and totally quiet. Excellent if you want a nice space to clear your head. Margaret was such a lovely host, and had everything we could possibly need (and more!) Her hospitality is second to none, would recommend for anyone to book a stay at her lovely cottage!
