The sink in the bathroom leaked. The plumber didn’t show up to fix it, but that was no fault of the hotel. Great stay!

We had a lovely stay at Billycan Guest Rooms. The room was spotlessly clean and very cozy. I liked the wall-to-wall carpet too. The host set up the homely room with tea, coffee etc. You will have everything you need in the room. The bed was very comfortable, I slept so well. The shower was very good, and it was a plus to have a heater in the bathroom! The Wi-Fi connection was very fast. It was very easy to check-in & out. The location was excellent, right in the middle of the town, 6 minutes walk to Kilkenny MacDonagh sation, 8 minutes walk to Kilkenny Castle. If I come back to Kilkenny in the future, I would love to stay in this hotel again. I would highly recommend staying at Billycan Guest Rooms!

The location is outstanding. The room is large and the bathroom was very good. We liked the shower. The TV was good, but the choices were fairly limited. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of power outlets. There was an electric kettle, a refrigerator and the biscuits were good.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Very friendly great hosts nothing was a problem showed us where to go what places to visit had the run of the whole house great value going back there again
That it is in a beautiful part of Ireland that not many travellers will stumble upon. It cost a bit more but I had a private room with a double bed. It was nice and clean. The host Nichola was super friendly and helpful, made me feel right at home.
The Waterside Guest house was great - rooms where a good size and clean, water in showers nice and hot, batheroom clean and modern. As a base and for the price it was great. The breakfasts were lovely and very generous - cereal/porridge for starters and then cooked breakfast as well as juice, tea/coffee. Staff were really friendly and it was in a quiet beautiful location with a river view from the room.
The stay was exactly what we expected . Lovely out of town location. Requires use of a car but we knew that when we booked. It’s also only a short drive to Kilkenny (30 mins). Very comfortable bed and Eamon was a great host👍. Would use again.
The Guesthouse is located on the banks of the river in a quaint little village and what a picturesque setting it is: flower-filled planters along the shore as well as adorning nearly all the houseboats! The restaurant also served great food and wine, with a filling, full Irish breakfast and other alternatives
Lovely quiet location on a rural property but just 1 km back to the village. The property was well equipped and fully functional. The hostess was lovely with great instructions on where to find the keys and there was plenty of information on house etiquette. All three beds were very comfortable and cosy. An excellent place for a three day holiday. We loved that the house was sign posted.
Helen is an excellent host. Made us feel very welcome and gave us tips for the area and an excellent local walk. Our room was lovely and comfortable. Beautiful surrounding scenery, Fabulous breakfast. Lovely lounge area with tea and coffee facilities. Very quiet surrounds which means you have to drive to a nearby village for an evening meal ( around 10 minutes) but not an issue and there are some good restaurants( Waterside was particularly good) and pubs in Graiguenamangh. In summary, a very pleasing place to stay.
