Roundwood House is an accommodation situated in Mountrath, 39 km from Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre and 44 km from Athy Heritage Centre-Museum.

This is a remarkable country house hotel. The house itself is full of interest and so is the location with the Slieve Bloom mountains nearby.

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Townsend House Guest House is a guest house situated in a historic building in Birr, 34 km from Cross of the Scriptures.

What really made my stay so good was the fact that the Guest House also had a restaurant . The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and accommodating . I also was very pleased that Mark, the owner, was able to provide a packed lunch and filled my flask with coffee ! Breakfast at hotels can be hit or miss but here the breakfast, an Irish fry, was obviously just cooked to order and had not been lying around drying out !

Great location, great walks in the gardens and surrounding area, the staff were brilliant, fabulous all round views. The historical significance was amazing. The Dungeon bar and restaurant was a nice touch.

It was very nice but for glamping, I thought it was very over priced ,5 person room was 220 euro & no breakfast. I actually thought it was cheaper when booking but lovel

The rooms were lovely and warm (despite the freezing temperatures). The beds were comfy and the hot breakfast bap went down a treat. Great location - beside the pub and access to rural lands, what more could you want.

I liked the surroundings and the meals were excellent. Staff were very good and helpful. As a person that has quiet bad balance didn't like the stairs. It would be nice if there was a lift somewhere in the building.

The castle, rooms, lounge and bars were awesome! The staff were welcoming and attentive, and pretty entertaining! Highly recommend a stay, make it 2 days if you can, lots to do. Archery and horseriding with Noel was fun group activity, and he was hilarious. Conner was a great host, just what we wanted
