Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
The apartment is on the first floor of a house. The family of the owners (a French - Indian couple) stay on the ground floor. The apartment consists of 2 bedrooms, a small bathroom and an open kitchen (fridge, stove, kettle.... ). The location is away from the town centre, 10-15 min walk from the main road.
I loved the talks with the Indian host about India. And the ride on his Enfield to find some milk in town.
Beautiful family running this place, very charming. They allowed us to check in very early as our train arrived at 6 AM. Breakfast was amazing. Air con works great and the room is super clean. The house is a few minutes wailking from the main street. We really recommend it!
Very welcoming family running this hostel. They provided with an excellent gmaps guide to visit the monuments around town. Breakfast was great. They can also arrange transport options. Location is just a few minutes walking from everything. Quiet area.
I'd highly recommend to stay here in Orchha.
Aniket is one of the most friendly, hospitable and gracious hosts we met during our 7 weeks in India. We immediately felt welcome. The location of the house is quiet in a side street yet centrally located to all the sights. The rooms on the top floor are modern and have views. Thank you Aniket for your wonderful hospitality.
The host of the guest house was really nice and helpful, he helped us with a lot of doubts, and with the taxi to go to jhansi. The room was big, and had a good relation price-quality.
He kept our bags for the whole day as well, without asking anything.
Clean place with room to spread out (a living space room) if there alone (there are two rentable rooms). Amenable hosts. Also a kitchen is there and can be set up for cooking. Quiet part of town away from all the central temple and festivity noise at night.
The House is really the best I had in India. Very clean, everything's working, quiet, but at the same time not far from the center and everything. The best : the host are really really nice and welcoming. As there is always something unexpected in India, they help me to catch my train even if no auto/tuktuk could take me to the station. If you are in Orchha it is THE place to stay !
