I can’t speak highly enough of this hotel. Located in the hills above Dharamshala, the hotel is a little tricky to get to but was no problem at all for their excellent recommended taxi driver Karan of Akki Taxi Service. He was excellent throughout and you can be very confident that he will look after you well. We were greeted by one of the staff (I never caught his name but again he was excellent throughout) with chilled mineral water and assistance with our luggage. Check in was with host/owner Govind who introduced us to all facilities. You will see from other reviews that Govind can never do enough for you and this is not exaggerated. He was superb. The room was quite basic but very comfortable and provided everything I needed. The bed is large and comfortable and linens were in great condition: crisp and clean. The bathroom was a large wet room and the only inconvenience was you had to put the hot water heater on 20 minutes before showering which wasn’t a problem as long as you remembered! As well as your room you had access to a common, large balcony area for eating, relaxing and enjoying the view. There we met other residents, mostly long term, who were also very friendly and helpful. When we arrived we weren’t sure what meals we’d take at the hotel beyond breakfast. However having had dinner there the first night we never went anywhere else! We didn’t ask for a menu (there is one and it’s extensive but I didn’t look until just prior to leaving), just went with whatever Indian food was recommended. It was uniformly delicious. We ate in the common area which was perfect for our needs. Breakfast we took the English breakfast option with some interesting Indian additions and again very good. Sausages weren’t exactly as per English tastes but I haven’t had better in India. Bacon and eggs spot on. We wanted beers and even though there wasn’t a bar we had them in about an hour, and these remained available throughout our stay.

I liked everything about the property. The hosts were very nice, the view and the surroundings were surreal. The property was surrounded by tea garden and there are cafes/adventure sites nearby.Uncle was very helpful, he came to pick us up and also dropped us on the highway. The hospitality was amazing. His wife and daughter were very nice and humble, they gave us home cooked food. I loved the place and the hosts and I'll definitely go there again (it'll be my go to place in Palampur)

The location is a little on the off side but it's the best as we were staying in between the tea gardens. Uncle ji was the best host, I have ever seen. I came with my mom and dad and my mom was so happy to see the garden and greenery. My dad was impressed by the food uncle ji served. It was literally Ghar ka Khaana. I would come here again whenever I visit palampur. Uncle ji was from Hpdtc and this is the source of their income so please come and stay at this beautiful green homestay. Recommendation 10/10

It is a cosy home you can lay back and enjoy the beautiful mountain view. Perfect place to unwind and take a break. Very easy to reach. We took a bus from delhi to palampur and got off at banuri and then its a brisk walk. The village is also very welcoming. The hosts are a gem! Welcomed us with open arms.

It was the most fantastic place to stay. So beautiful and peaceful and quiet. We had amazing delicious food cooked by Krishna Devi every day. And the view of the mountains from the house was amazing. Thanks so much Kavi and your mum and dad for welcoming us so nicely.

The location was really good, the view was great and it was near to lot of famous places, so it was easy to commute. Uncle was really sweet and helped us a lot in discovering the place. He also picked us up from the bus stand and take us to the guest house. Over all I strongly recommend this place to you. Especially to girls who are traveling solo and are worried about their safety.

Visit the Kut House for a quiet and relaxing stay which is away from the crowd. You will be able to enjoy the greenery and morning chirping of birds . Host is gracious to provided adequate guidance and transport assistance required for visiting around the area as well. Add on fun is visiting the pottery studios which are around the place, which is very enjoyable.
