The location is great close to the center/restaurants, the room is comfortable and clean as well as outside lighting up at night and the owner is very helpful giving me the information how to get around the town, getting a taxi to the airport with reasonable price and treating me after I got bitten by a stray dog. I was actually bitten by a stray dog lightly near the hotel, but still had to get rabies vaccines several times. Luckily he is a pharmacist, so was able to give me my second shot right before I left. He just charged for the injection not like the hospital I went for the first shot. It’s very helpful for me to know the injection information for later and he is very generous. I am so lucky to be able to stay there!

Very rustic and warm. Lot of friendly dogs. Nice plants around
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Great location and great hosts...Roy was really helpful with where to go and importantly where to eat. Good Breakfast and Rooms. I'd be more than happy to stay again
We loved the location of the guesthouse in the heart of the historic town of Panjim. The hosts Jeanine and Clifford were lovely, made us feel at home and gave us valuable tips for sightseeing. The room was comfortable: the AC was efficient but quiet, we had plenty of hot water for the shower. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden, there is a pleasant terrace on the roof. We would definitely want to stay there again next time when we shall go to Goa.
Perfect clean and quiet guest house in a great location, with a gorgeous plant filled roof terrace. Clifton and Jeanette were the best hosts, they really went above and beyond, helping us with recommendations and sorting out transportation. Highly recommend staying here, we would definitely return!
This is a lovely homestay in a quiet residential neighbourhood (so Serene indeed) but also convenient for central Panaji. The room is comfortable and spacious. Having a full size fridge/freezer and kettle is great.
What really makes it is the host family who are so welcoming and helpful. Full of advice and happy to help organise things.
There's a very regular and cheap bus from the stop nearby straight into town and the bus station or you can take cheap taxis.
Great location, 3-minute walk to our favourite bakery, Padaria Prazares. Excellent communication from host. Well-stocked kitchen (we didn’t use it but it would be good for longer stays if needed). Quiet with car parking.
Budget local guesthouse in a good location. It's under 10 minutes walk to Fontainhas heritage sights.
Room was clean. Owner was friendly and helpful. A kettle and coffe/tea were provided.
Room was good value (about 2000 rupees per night) for the location. There are boutique shops & restaurants nearby.
I would consider this guest house for a good value stay very close to the Fontainhas heritage area. This is good value option for a room in this area.
Recommended.
Lovely period guesthouse in a quiet leafy area close to the river and a walk or taxi to central Panjim. Our room had a large terrace and in fact was a private apartment with fridge and tea making facilities. Our host Deric was incredibly helpful both before our arrival and during our stay. Complimentary breakfast at the restaurant opposite offered a good choice of dishes.
The hotel is in a quiet cul-de-sac in the Portuguese district, with a famous bakery round the corner and no traffic noise even though it's handy to everything. Roy is a great host, ready with advice and a useful map. Breakfast was a different Keralan speciality each day - you are encouraged to try things. The stuff you need - wifi, hot water etc - was all working well despite the age of the building. It doesn't look modernised (although it obviously has been, to a degree) and is very atmospheric.
Villa Khatun Guesthouse made me feel at home.
The house is well located, close to the city but quiet (you can hear the birds). The room was clean and tidy. There were complimentary tea, coffee, water bottles and biscuit packets :)
Alim is a great host, helpful, friendly and have great recommendations.
Don’t hesitate in booking this place. I recommend 100%!!
Jeanette is a very charming host, her guest house is a beautiful traditional building in a great location. Tasty breakfasts are available for a small price, and there was lots of help and advice offered to us whenever we needed.
