Lovely, peaceful setting on the lake. Fun watching the birds. The staff was always available if we needed anything. They arranged a tour of the backwaters for us. Early breakfast is toast and eggs, but if you wait until 9:00 you can get a Keralan breakfast. Also, you can have dinner delivered and eat on your verandah. A canoe is available for your use, but it was raining so we didn't use it.

I stayed here with my family and we loved it! Our original stay was planned for one night but after having the delicious home cooked meals and enjoying the peaceful surroundings, there was no way we could leave. We stayed an extra night and would have loved to stay longer! The rooms are comfortable and clean. The ambiance is just overall welcoming and comfortable. You can get ayurvedic treatments and the beach is just a 10 minute walk away. You really can't find better !

Excellent host! Manu makes this stay incredible. He goes above and beyond to make your stay as great as possible. He will give you recommendations for activities, help you organize activities, help you with tuk tuk drivers and whatever you need. His hospitality and kindness is why I extended my stay here. He made me feel right at home and truly enhanced my experience in Varkala. I would happily stay here again and again if I return to Varkala. The cottage is spacious and clean,good A/C and hot water, good wifi, small refrigerator,situated in a quiet garden with big trees and flowers, choice of breakfast is very good, the staff is super professional, helpfull and very friendly.
