Amazing location, the view is incredible and elevated the whole journey for us. We felt safe as standard lovely people were around and a sweet black-white cat. Great sleep, memorable spot.

Easy self check-in, spotless room and very clean bathroom.
Functional room with no frills, but perfect for night´s stay before heading to the airport. And right next to Hallgrimskirkja (actually saw it from my bed ;-) plus onsite parking. Got a got last minute deal, so pricewise okay, too. Would stay again!

They were very helpful in sorting an early arrival out and enjoyed the little welcome chocolate. It's also a good location, quiet but not too far from the centre and bus terminal.
Eric the Red is a perfectly located Guest House in Reykjavik just 60m/200ft from Hallgrímskirkja Church which is the biggest church and single most central point in Reykjavik, we are in short walking...

The accommodation is run by two very nice brothers (and their lovely dog), thank you very much for your kindness and good conversation over the coffee in the mornings
The house is in the city center, beside the Hallgrimskirkja. Big room with a comfortable bed. Everything was very clean. 100% recommendable

We had tried the "Blue House" at the beginning of our travel, which also belongs to the host, so we suspected what awaited us. Place a little less warm than the Blue House but very good to spend a night. Well located enough to relax at the city's Sky Lagoon. Thank you very much ! Justine & Paul

Literally everything was perfect, I can't come up with a single bad thing. I'm certain I'll be going back to Iceland someday, when that time comes I'll be going back to this lovely family's guesthouse.

They were refurbishing the house and booked for us a very good hotel in Reykjavik city centre with good breakfast included
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Fantastic host and breakfast (enough for later in the day). Great location to get on the road to see the sights or taxi into Reykjavik. Saw the Northern Lights from the picturesque backyard.
We decided to stay a couple extra nights in Iceland to rest up before traveling home and booked Hlid Fisherman’s village because it is secluded and quiet. It was obviously a labor of love for someone, and it shows. It is a really quaint setup and very private, but we were close enough to drive to restaurants and shopping.
Studio Apartment at Guesthouse Eyvindarholt, 225 Álftanes, near Reykjavik – in the foreground it looks towards the attractive Bessastadir, State Government Office where the President lives, Reykjavik is in the distance (20 minutes by car). The apartment is very well equipped and only missing 3 of my 16 criteria – a desk with a suitable chair and a freezer section in the fridge. Breakfast is included and consists of orange juice, yogurt, egg, fresh bread and jam, cheeses, cold meats, apple or other fruit, a slice of cake. A delightful host.
Isolated place with a nice view on the sea, charming old style village
A car is needed (though there is a bus stop not too far), it is far from any shop or other activity than enjoying quietness, nature and jacuzzi
A great host, great location, great accommodation and facilities! Hot tub would be the only possible improvement but without doubt will return.
Amazing breakfast all made freshly with fantastic choice.
Wonderful stay in a great location, comfortable room and bedding. Staff was friendly and helpful, hot tub a great addition after a long day. Perfect for northern lights viewing, due to location in a quieter area yet still well connected with Reykjavik.
What a gorgeous guesthouse! Everything was so clean and the host was so so friendly and welcoming. All of the little touches of decor really made the studio apartment welcoming and a great comfort after Afew days of hiking and being constantly on the go. The host even cooked us a beautiful breakfast each morning and delivered it to our door. Would highly recommend for those wanting to do abit around Reykjavik or flying out from Keflavik.
