Great location to see the south. It had a microwave, a small fridge, toaster, kettle and coffee machine with complementary tea and coffee. Single use cutlery, cups and plates for free use. Also, a large laundry area for guests to use. Clean bathroom, fresh linen and towels. The host was attentive.

Wonderful place and great owners, we had a wonderful time! The owners even texted us when they saw the northern lights and we were able to see them.
We hope to come back!

The house was beautiful and the owners just renovated it. The owners are very friendly people and made us feel at home. The place has a very large kitchen space with tables and everything you need to cook. The location is also great as it is very close to Selfoss but far enough to be isolated and far from noise.

A cot was requested, but it wasn’t prepared. After a contract the owner, we brought by ourselves. The response was good and quick, but it’s a bit minus point.
This guest house is set on a family-owned, working farm with animals. Central Selfoss in southern Iceland is 7 km away. WiFi, sauna and outdoor hot tub access are free.

Staff very friendly, rooms comfy and the hot tub & sauna are a great bonus. Breakfast was very tasty and sunrise view from the guesthouse was spectacular. Just as good as when we stayed 10 years ago.

Lovely quiet area - free parking with a short walk to your room - our room had a walk in shower small dining table, well equipped kitchenette with fridge & cooker top & microwave, you need to bring own coffee & milk. Plenty of hot water. Bed was comfortable & blackout blinds fitted. Small hanging space & chest of drawers.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
I booked this hostel quickly when my itinerary changed due to bad weather and road conditions. It ended up being one of my favorite hostels in Iceland and I even booked an additional night because I enjoyed it so much. The staff was very kind and I found the price-quality to be excellent. The rooms were big and so was the shower/WC area. There was a TV lounge area as well as a large dining room.
This guest house was so quaint and rustic, but the interior is very comfortable. The location near the sea wall was very nice. It was great to take walks along the harbor early in the morning. It was a quiet neighborhood outside of Selfoss and a perfect starting place for exploring the south coast.
Great location, extremely short walk to the coast perfect for viewing Northern lights!
The host was very friendly, helpful and extremely quick at responding! Very attentive too, even messaged to ask how the first night was, and when we did not have coffee pods left, they even dropped some off for us even though we were happy to go buy them.
Beds comfortable and the heating was great - needed for this time of year!
Laundry facilities were great, and lots of necessities were provided!
The apartment is quiet big with all the amenities. Good host. The rooms were clean. Kitchen had all the items we needed to prepare food. Very close to the ocean. With so much light, we were able to walk by the ocean at 12 midnight. The best part is there is a massage chair. Overall a memorable stay and worth the price.
all in all a great hostel. The only thing I did not like so much was the location, but apart from that it was great. Have been there almost alone and used a lot of the provided spaces.
The location was perfect and not too far from RReykjavik the Eyrarbakki area was quiet and located close to the beach. Walk a couple of steps and the bus stop to Selfoss is right there. Selfoss is a cute little town with grocery stores and that's where you would take the 52 bus to Reykjavik. The hostel was clean and the staff is hardworking and considerate. I hope to come back in the future.
Love all the facilities available. The room and bathroom were clean. I was the only one staying at the hostel on that day so it was quiet at night.
