We stayed at Welcome Edinborg during our Iceland trip and were impressed by its unique charm! Nestled along the Ring Road, it’s a peaceful retreat with a cozy, authentic vibe—perfect for resting amidst Iceland’s wild beauty. The rooms were comfy, and the mountain views were stunning.
Located in Skogar in the South Iceland region, with Skogafoss Waterfall nearby, Guesthouse Skógafoss provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

Lovely house, we had it all to ourselves! Great location. The kitchen has everything you need. Room was spacious and very clean.
I would definitely recommend
This guest house is 20 km from Vík and 1.5 km off the Route 1 Ring Road. Wi-Fi and parking are free. All rooms have a view of Pétursey Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
The rooms are standalone villas of a sort with all the basic amenities. The location was excellent, just at the base of Eyjafallajokul, visible from the bedroom window. All rooms have a living area with great views of the field and the ring road, an inner cosy bedroom, an attached washroom, basic cooking utensils and appliances. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were required to contact the host via WhatsApp to receive a code. This code was to be used to open a key box that had the room keys.
There is al lot of equipment to be used in kitchen available. Lots of room above to eat and sit in the evening. Coffee and tea available. Entrance through codes, easy going. Very quiet surroundings. Enough parking space
A cozy comfy house in the middle of nowhere. There were mountains and grass, a really quiet place. Our friends saw the northern lights for the first time there, but they couldn't get us, as we were fast asleep. The kitchen in the house is also superb, as we were able to cook some pretty complicated stuff there
very clean and great place, the host was super helpful, the kitchen had everything we needed, the cottage looks amazing and in a great location surrounded by mountains
