United KingdomEverything about my stay at Guesthouse Basar was exceptional. I cannot rate it high enough. The accommodation was impeccable, warm and comfortable, spotlessly clean. Gagga my host bent over backwards to make my stay enjoyable and memorable. She picked me up from the ferry, took me on a tour of the Island, provided all my meals and on the day of departure drove me back to the ferry. She was and is amazing. I have no hesitation in recommending Basar to future travellers. They will not be disappointed.

We were picked up at the ferry with our luggage and transferred both directions. Once on the island they will drive guests a short distance to town, or the lighthouse. Breakfast each morning filled me up for the day, and I really appreciated the ample hot beverage supplies available in the kitchen when I returned from hiking around the island. The house is perfectly located to visit the bird colonies of the island, and it makes a perfect basecamp for photographers. The hosts, Gagga and Áslaug, are very welcoming and helpful, making the stay even more special. Very clean house, big shared fully-equipped kitchen and really nice breakfast to start the day with!
