Once on the island they will drive guests a short distance to town, or the lighthouse. No car is necessary while on Grimsey Island. Breakfast was good and were the public areas.

Breakfast each morning filled me up for the day, and I really appreciated the ample hot beverage supplies available in the kitchen when I returned from hiking around the island. The house is perfectly located to visit the bird colonies of the island, and it makes a perfect basecamp for photographers. The hosts, Gagga and Áslaug, are very welcoming and helpful, making the stay even more special. Very clean house, big shared fully-equipped kitchen and really nice breakfast to start the day with!
