What an amazing stay, fantastic. The cottages are super well equip, they are very spacious and confy. What surprised me the most was the scenary around. It's fells amazing working in the morning with the view of the farm, the horses, just fantastic.
The location is perfect, just few killometers after Sellfoss were you can do groceries, perfect stop if you are coming from the Golden circle and heading to the famous spots in the south coast. Or the other way around.
We had a lovely surprise, there was a female cat around the cottage, we love cats and she promptly entered in our cottage as soon as we opened.

The entire place was superb. This is the ground floor of the cottage where travellers stay, while the owners stay right upstairs. Hence, we were the only tourists there. It was a huge place. Very well maintained, tastefully decorated place. It was really nice to chat Svetlana and her husband. We stayed at a lot of places and farm houses during our 13 day trip to iceland (4 people). I have to say, this was the best accommodation we stayed in, with all being on similar price points. Most places had a double bed and a sofa cum bed. Only here we could get two large double beds. Everyone in our group were ecstacic about it. We stayed here for two nights, and saw amazing aurora right outside the door. We had clear skies both the days. Also there was little light polution here.

The room was basically like a mini apartment. Very clean and comfortable. I did not expect it to be THAT good when I got there. Honest. I'll make sure to come back when I go back to Iceland next time.

Basic stopover accommodation, good value for money, and a good kitchen means you don't have to eat out - Iceland is very expensive for food.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Great location, great host, all facilities spotless and so many to make our stay special. Loved the coffee and waffles - didn’t disappoint after previous feedback,
One of the best stays in Iceland! Thank you so much to the hosts for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The kitchen is stocked with spices and fully equipped. The living room is very spacious and has travel guides, books and board games. There is a bunch of left over cosmetics that you can use. The guesthouse is very warm and quiet. The waffles in the morning were so yummy! The location was great to explore the southern coast and we saw the aurora lights too. It felt like a dream.
