It had amazing views and was a great dark spot to see the northern lights with the sky light above the bed. It also had great facilities for the small place
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
The host was very friendly and helped us a lot with places of interest around the area. It was great meeting her and talking to her. Felt very homely. The breakfast laid out was also great. The proximity to the lagoon makes it a great location.
The host Þóra and staff were very friendly and welcoming. The guesthouse has a good location between the glacier lagoons and Höfn. We enjoyed our breakfast and home cooked waffles. The house is of historical significance as it used to be the local priest’s home. There is a little church beyond the garden. Very idyllic settings and nice and clean. Thanks very much!
A welcoming host of a guesthouse in an idyllic setting. The whole house is very clean. A very good breakfast has a number of home made jams. 20 minutes away from Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, and the Diamond Beach. The location is excellent as a stop over to visit Skaftafel and the south of Iceland. The chapel next door is beautiful. I cannot recommend this place enough.
This is was one of our favourite places to stay along the Ring Road. The guesthouse is super-clean, everything is well-organized and well-prepared. The breakfast was amazing too. The host lady, Thora was super kind. Thank you for everything.
Great location, a wonderful host and easy access of route 1.
