The location is 5-minutes walk to the city centre. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. This is a HOSTEL/guesthouse. We had a private room with private bathroom. The community kitchen is clean & well equipped if want to cook. Laundry is available and free to use.

We had everything we needed, including a shared kitchen. Short walk away from the rest of the town, comfortable, clean room, cute bathroom. It was a nice place to take it slow.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
A lovely cottage, clean, cozy and well-quipped. The host was friendly and responsive. The hot tub and scenery added to the fabulous experience. We had a pleasant stay there :)
The location is a bit hard to get to because of the bumpy road, but the view along the road is great.
We checked in at night and Margert, the hostess left me a note with detailed instructions to get to the room and get the key. I feel warmly welcomed. I let my phone at my home, but when I get home, I found a message saying I could cancel the booking for free because of bad weather (which did not affected me actually). And my stay was pleasant. The best part is the price, it is very attractive.
If you are looking for something different this is your place. A really quiet place with no tourists and wonderful views. The way to arrive is an off-road and you need approximately 1h to go across 30km but it is really worth it because the surroundings are really beautiful. Having a 4x4 is not mandatory but I really recommend it to arrive. The cabin was perfect for 2 people and is fully equipped. It also has a hot tube outside that was a must to relax at the end of the day with great views to the fjord.
It's a beautiful, cozy hut with breathtaking views into the mountains and over the fjord. So quiet and peaceful. Fully equipped kitchen, cute bathroom and a good mattress to sleep like a baby.
The owners are very friendly and were extremely helpful to me on the first morning after arrival.... Also they gave me a nice hint to a hike above the hut, which was very nice.
The beauty of the setting is definitely worth riding the not so nice unpaved road. Just take it easy, it's only 32km 😏 with great views.
Hands down the best location in our 21 day trip around Iceland! Views were just breathtaking and the cottage was cozy and great! Absolutely loved our 2 night stay here. The host was also very friendly and greeted us on arrival and just before departure.
The guesthouse is in one of the most beautiful fjord of Iceland with wonderful landscapes and a magical atmosphere. We also had the chance to see a whale and the Northern lights. It seemed to live in a fary tale.
The guesthouse is pretty basic with small rooms and bunk beds. The common area tho is quite big with big kitchen and dining room.
One of the cheapest place we slept in, but alone is worth the trip.
Fantastic, atmospheric guest house in an extremely remote location, beautiful beyond description. I haven't experienced this sort of silence in a long time. The owner, Margrét, was very kind, helpful and welcoming. The guesthouse is decorated with cute tasteful Icelandic paintings.
Great location even if very far from everything. To get there you need to drive through a long gravel road.
