Room was nice and cozy. We were able to check ourselves in near midnight and we were just there to sleep for 6-7 hours before heading out for our next adventure.

Thora was very flexible and the room was clean. The breakfast was good and there was a good variety.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
The guesthouse has everything you need for a pleasant stay. In particular, we enjoyed the breakfast and the friendly and helpful hosts. The guesthouse is located at the starting point of a hike that we enjoyed thoroughly.
The guesthouse was absolutely spotless, and felt like a warm clean haven after a rainy day on the ring road. The breakfast was lovely, with homemade baked goods, homemade smoked salmon and fresh waffles. The host couldn’t have been more welcoming!
Everything about this guesthouse is great!
The owner was icelandic and very friendly. She even let our friend to use the showers for free and sleep in her camper van on the property!
The guesthouse is well equipped (2 shared bathrooms/restrooms!) and the breakfast was yummy, with homemade products.
The bedroom was roomy, with comfy beds. Everything was clean and functionnal.
The location is pretty quiet and the view is nice over the fields. You can see the ocean in the distance.
Our host, Jan, was friendly and very helpful. He told us about a great 3 hour hike that started right at the guest house. Although the location is about 30 minutes from Hofn there is a hotel with a good restaurant nearby. Our room had a lovely view and the shared bathrooms were spacious.
This guesthouse is situated on a farm land. Each room is in a small chalet, from where you have a view on the farm's sheeps or the fall situated at the back of the property. The environment is great ! Our hosts were really nice and helpful. They can cook dinner for you at the main house, dinner was of good price/quality. This is one of the few accomodations available in this area, I strongly recommend it if you are visiting Jokulsarlon or going further East.
