Newly built accommodation, very tastefully furnished. A small kitchen with fridge can be used, the hostess also has pickles there for tasting. It tasted wonderful. The accommodation and the hostess are highly recommended.

The place was empty and there was no one to receive us when we first arrived, but I called on the phone written on the door and the manager came in no more than 5 minutes. Gave a full explanation and left us inside. Told us where everything was, and how to use the door (since it has an automatic lock system). By the morning I couldn't leave the key to the manager for we left really early, but it seems there was no problem about it.
We visited on the second week of October, and the restaurant was already closed, also there were no other services available, but since we only wanted a place to sleep it was ok with us. I'll be sure to come back and experience the full of it, but so far, everything was great.

Very nice guest house!☺️
We felt very comfortable. The house is cosily furnished, has everything you need and even a hot tub outside.
There was food in the fridge which we used to prepare a delicious breakfast.
I can well imagine that on clear nights you can see the northern lights very well.

Very easy to find and very comfortable accommodation on a real working farm.
Upon arriving the host greeted me and was very welcoming and also showed me a freezer full of meat from the farm I could buy if I wanted.
Reykjafoss waterfall is only 10-15mins drive away and the valley is beautiful. Mountains to the North are incredibly beautiful and there are horses everywhere.
Highly recommended.

Karuna Guesthouse was one of the most beautiful spots where I did spend the night. I got very lucky by choosing a double bed room in off season and got a whole studio icluding own bathroom! for myself, which I didn't expect to get. The kitchen was very clean and you got everything you need for cooking/cleaning/separating your garbage. The dining/breakfast/chill out area in the house was awesome and had a modern spacious design, you got a panoramic view into the night sky with big big windows. There was a hot tub and sauna for free. Couldn't be more happy with all this!

Good location, good sized room, breakfast included, little church and cemetery on the grounds, easy parking, clean and comfortable bed and room, we were given choice of room, which was nice off the owner
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Wonderful hosts and great breakfast. Basic but adequate room, and very quiet even though all the rooms were occupied. The location is great and I loved the hike up to the waterfalls. And the lambs were very cute!
Very comfortable and cosy cabin in a great location just off the Ring Road but in a lovely quiet spot with amazing views. A very friendly welcome from the owners, and of course from Snati - Iceland’s premier canine tourist ambassador.
The house is clean, comfortable, and warm. Everything inside is prepared with care to make travelers feel at home. It has a great location, close to Road 1, but at the same time it is quiet with excellent views of fields, mountains, and sheep.
Great set-up, great hosts, facilities great for families (we got an en-suite room and I'm glad we did that).
Great free coffee and well-equipped kitchen! Also appreciated the fridge in the room.
The owners mum was around most days and she was so helpful (we stayed about 6 days).
Finally - we saw the northern lights too!
Great location ,quiet with easy access to hikes locally.
Nice kind owners and an interesting and informative tour of the farm during lambing .Thanks all.
Host was friendly, cottage was amazing! The natural hot tub was 104ºF (40ºc) constantly and they provide shoes and robes to wear to walk out to the hot tub. Although there were other guests in other cottages, we had the hot tub all to ourselves (but it's big, could seat a dozen adults!) House construction was sturdy (not cheap like some of the cottages we've stayed in here in Iceland); furniture also very sturdy and comfy. Wifi worked great.
