Beds were fine, each bed had a night lamp. Also good views of the Vik church. Sharing the bathrooms was fine now, as it was not too busy. The host was friendly. First thing he told us was to take off shoes. Location was allright.

Guesthouse located at the entrance of the city of Vik. Clean place, warm room and a very interesting room to watch the sun set at mealtime. Thank you ! Justine & Paul

Reynir was exactly what we needed whilst exploring the south coast, easy and clean and right in the middle of everything we wanted to visit.
Kitchen facilities are excellent and showers and warm, good pressure and clean.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Really great experience in Vik. Hrund is a great host and even gave us a little shark & schnaps, typical Icelandic, we felt more like in a home than in a hotel. The position is also very good and strategic for all things around Vik. Recommended!
Hostel is a family run business, close to the main road. A quiet place, clean, well equipped kitchen - you can find anything you need there. Room was rather small but just enough for 2 people. WC on each floor.
I wasn't sure what a guesthouse would be like for a family (probably thinking of my solo travel in noisy hostel days!), but it was absolutely brilliant! Clean, bright, quiet, there was never a queue for toilets whilst we were there, either.
My daughter especially loved the toy corner and chill-out space after a busy day exploring. Really easy to get around everywhere in Vik from the location as well.
We were staying at Vík Guesthouse because we were attending a wedding at Vik's church and everything was perfect. The Guesthouse is very nice and comfortable, the room was quiet and very spacious and clean. The breakfast was spectacular with some homemade bread. And the host is really nice.
It is close to some of the area's interesting spots as the black sand beach and several waterfalls. You can also find a supermarket and a few restaurants at a walking distance.
Small hotel, 2 rooms I liked that. Quiet. Excellent host (she made banana bread for us). Great location (black sand beaches were spectacular). Supermarket in town and gas station.
We felt right at home in this beautiful guesthouse with a very kind, attentive host. The decor was fascinating and the kitchen facilities and bathroom had everything we needed and more. We particularly liked the Icelandic soaps, homemade jams and waffles! The place was in a great location for exploring the town.
Located in the middle of nowhere - still near Vik i Myrdal - the Volcano Hotel is lovely place to be!
The hotel itself is special and charming, the environment is very quaint. The fact that you can enjoy the latter at any place of the hotel - especially during breakfast - is a big plus!
Also the staff was really friendly and welcoming.
In a nutshell: One of the best (and cheapest | out of eight) accommondations we had during our trip in Iceland.
