Everything! From the way that the room was decorated to the AMAZING view from the window. It was at times surreal, in the best of ways! Also, Francesca was way more than just a host and invited us to go out with them in town. She was so friendly that we ended up doing karaoke with her in the local pub! (Another must visit -Daniele and Laura were amazing and made us the best spritz!). Everything of this property and this town was the highlight of our trip, and even though it’s a very small town I can’t wait to be in Italy again to visit Calcata Vecchia, Federica, Daniele and Laura again!

    Such a beautiful place tucked away in Calcata Vecchia, very peaceful and it really did feel almost as if you were living as they would back in the 16th centuary there! Federico and Kristina have created a really beautiful guest house, there are so many amazing little details that just make this place magical!

    We absolutely loved this property. It was cosy and quirky. The fireplace was a lovely feature, as were additional touches such as candles and incense. This is right in the heart of Calcata, a wonderful old artistic village. We were here on a Thursday and many restaurants were closed, but the host booked us in to a fabulous restaurant (Il Guazzabuglio) and we had a great meal. We loved the town and the house and we will definitely return.
