A lovely large, airy comfortable room and big well appointed bathroom. We received a warm welcome and advice about local places to eat and shop. This accommodation is very handy for pilgrims on the Via Francigena and good value for money.

very clean room and an excellent online communications with the managers of the accommodation. we did not see anyone (reception was closed upon arrival and no one answered when we left)
However we ended up with a larger room for no additional charge which was very generous. the room we had was the one with the bathtub in the room, which also entails that the bathroom does not allow for a lot of privacy

Alfredo, the host is a very friendly guy. Beautiful house in a beautiful setting. The view is outstanding and the steep, winding road uphill (and down again) is a bit breathtaking. Highly recommended.

It is off the beaten track but well worth the detour. The rooms are functional but nothing special, what is exceptional is the environment, the views and the excellent food and service.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Alessandro is very nice and he speaks English. The apartment has got nice, old atmosphere and it's well-equipped. It's in a nice, quiet village. There are mosquito nets in the windows. Via Francigena - a quite easy walking trail goes just next to the house. There's a washing machine. The way to the house is quite winding among buildings, but just follow the signs slowly and carefully. The view to the mountains on the other side is astounding.
Loved the whole space, particularly the bedroom with its unique textures and the patio, plus the taverna and its great food from the local region - so fantastic! Really helpful and kind hosts who put up with our terrible Italian speaking. We owe them a haggis.
There was a basic breakfast (although not as overrated as in some reviews). The underlying ancient farm house (or mill, whatever) is charming (just watch out for the - in places - low ceiling, plenty of opportunities to hit your head).
The villa seems to be after a recent repair, very clean and modern. The interior is designed with good taste and care. The swimming pool is well looked after. The spa is quite small but it has everything you might need to recharge yourself.
The location is fantastic for a short break from a frenetic city, very calm and quiet.
Elisa and family were wonderful hosts. They made us so welcome and made excellent recommendations for dining and activities in the area, in particular local artisan foods. The location is spectacular among ancient vineyards. The drive up to the property is steep but beautiful.
This guest house is an absolute gem in a beautiful position. The host is gracious and helpful. The value is outstanding. The breakfast was sumptuous. If you are passing this way be sure to use this place. I will be back.
We enjoyed the quiet and picturesque location, the comfort of the apartment and especially its cleanliness. A special mention goes also to the very large and comfortable bed in one of the bedrooms, and of course to the discreet and always helpful presence of the hosts.
