Although this is named a B&B, it does not serve breakfast. There is access to a shared kitchen on the ground floor (our room was on the first floor). The room is fairly spacious but a small refrigerator in the room and a comfortable chair to sit in would have been nice. The bed was quite comfortable, and the bathroom, with shower was clean and functional, if small. The locatioin is in a residential area about 3-4 blocks from the old town center so fairly convenient. On-street parking was always available in front of the residence. The neighborhood was safe, and we had no qualms about walking through it to the town center. The owner called us in advance to arrange letting us in to our apartment on arrival, and seemed willing to be helpful for other issues, though we did not need other assistence. The apartment and building were clean and well-maintained. Sulmona is a quint old town and a great jumping-off point for day-trips into the mountains and to the coast of Abruzzo, and we enjoyed our stay there.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Great value at the heart of the little village with a huge terasse!
Tea, coffee capsules and water included in the room.
Parking is just a few metres from the apartment, the host is great and really friendly and welcoming.
We paid around 70-75€, totally a good deal! Stay here ☺️
Nice apartment for 3 ppl. With 37 degrees celsius and no fan or air conditioning it was really, really hot and tough to sleep. Very nice hosts and good location in a pretty village. All and all a nice stay, but I wouldn’t recommend it in the middle of the Italian summer as long as they don’t som install air conditioning. But clean, good price and fairly comfortable. Nice w parking close too.
A charming quiet lcation immersed in nature. Very peaceful. Lovely hosts and we enjoyed the companyof their cats and dog who were very well behaved. Nice outside sitting space. The room was small but was comfortable.
Nice atmosphere, peace and quiet. The garden is nice and kids could play freely with the sheep and goats. The peacocks in the morning paying a visit on our terrace. The owners are really helpful and gave us indications about the various places to visit in the areas one could reach by car on day trips. Tocco da Casauria is a nice small beautiful village that one must visit and Torre de Passeri (5 minutes drive) offers very good and affordable restaurants.
Inexpensive with a reasonably well equipped kitchen. Great to have a washing machine, as it meant we could pack light! Host was very friendly via WhatsApp.
Great location above the gelati shop! Beautiful view of the mountains. The house has everything you need. Beautifully decorated. Edoardo made sure we had everything we needed and was a fantastic host.
The apartment is big, clean and well equipped. The hosts are very pleasant and helpful. We booked this accommodation just as a one-night stop after a full-day sightseeing in Umbria and before continuing to Puglia the next day. Frankly we needed just a place to spend the night and discovered a cosy little gem both in the apartment a the charming small town.
This place is magical. It has been created with so much passion and love. Lorenzo is a lovely man, a great host and he knows a lot about the surrounding area. It is a place where you can find rest and comfort. Don't expect a 5star accomodation. The rustic feel is what makes this place ooze with charm. We will be back for sure!
