We had a recent stay at the Cinque Terre Gateway. This hotel was our gateway to the Cinque Terre and provided a great base in La Spezia. The hotel is very nice, and its location just 2 minutes from the train station made it very easy to walk to. We had a Junior Suite on the top floor with a city view. Room was very clean and spacious. The complimentary buffet breakfast was excellent, featuring a variety of choices that catered well to different tastes.
When we left the hotel in La Spezia, we left behind a small bag of clothes my wife had recently purchased in Venice. We were heart broken that we had left the bag behind. While we continued our trip in Rome, we emailed the hotel in La Spezia and they confirmed they had found our bag and had it in their lost and found. The hotel told us if we arranged shipping, they would be happy to assist. Once home, we arranged shipping through UPS. The staff were amazing in helping us, from answering our many questions to packing it up in a small box to applying the shipping label. Our package made it safely to us. We are very grateful to all the staff in helping us get our package back. In addition to a great stay, the staff were very helpful. We would highly recommend this hotel if you are thinking of visiting the Cinque Terre.

Daniela and her husband were very kind and helpful. Our room was a bit small but functional. It's very conveniently located to the train station, just a few minutes walk. My only recommendation would be that they tone down the airfreshners, it's really overwhelming to have 4 in such a tiny room.

We totally loved this place. Super comfortable and clean. This was the only place we got real good sleep. The A/C worked! The owner is so sweet and super helpful. She gave us great recommendations for excursions and restaurants in the area. This place is in a great location close to the train station and central to shops and restaurants . The rooms are newly renovated, big and clean. Fabio and Paola are great hosts, they are funny, warm and welcoming. Fabio has great recommendations for what to do in Portovenere and for day trips. They're always available if there's any issues and Fabio has a wealth of funny stories. There's a coffee machine with tea, coffee and hot chocolate capsules and complementary snacks and candy. Shower water pressure is very good, bed is comfortable and there's daily housekeeping. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and a supermarket with very polite pleasant employees are just few minutes walk from the apartment. Highly recommend staying in Portovenere and Oblo as a base to explore cinque terre.

Lovely hosts, Emanuel and Lisa have been great ,very easy to communicate, place was extremely clean and beautiful views . I think we were quite unlucky that wi-fi was down, kids mentioned that sofa bed wasn’t very comfortable but it’s just a sofa bed , definitely highly recommended and if I am around the area would love to book again.

Beautifully located in a small hilltop village where no cars are allowed, so very peaceful. Note that you have to park your car downhill and walk up for 5 minutes to reach the hotel.

The apartment is in the most beautiful little town on top of a mountain with beautiful views. The hosts Lisa and her mother were extremely welcoming and went out of their way to accommodate all our needs. The apartment itself was beautiful, modern, and very clean.
