We came to Hokkaido to snowboard at Niseko/Rusutsu in February, and this place was a wonderful cozy home stay for our trip!
You definitely need a car to get here, and it's about an 1hr drive to either ski resort. However, despite the distance, the place was really warm and clean, and the hosts made us feel at home. Every day they provided a variety of breakfast and coffee, cleared snow off our car, checked in on us to see if we made it to the nearby onsen for our evening baths, and even had laundry.
There are mini heaters in the room that are powerful enough to keep the room warm, and the blankets provided are so comfy!
The hosts themselves are incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful. Would definitely recommend a stay here!!

The owner was very kind and helpful. He did his best in accommodating our requests for laundry (easy, washing mashines just next door), kitchen (not so easy, there was a microwave, a fridge, and a water heater, but no proper kitchen with utensils), and local transportation options. The level of hygene was very high. Beds were comfortable too. The location is great, just one minute walk to the lake shore and 10 minute walk to the bus terminal with connections to Sapporo. We were also given 500 yen tickets for a hotel onsen that normally costs 1500 yen.

It’s close to the lake. The double room was spacious. The hotel was quiet and mostly clean. The bath was very small but no other people were there, so like a private bath.
Providing a garden, つきのやど features accommodations in Lake Toya. The air-conditioned accommodation is 3.8 miles from Lake Toya, and guests can benefit from private parking available on site and free...

Wonderful home with everything you need, full kitchen, view of the lake, lots of amenities, coffee, tea, etc! Tomihara-san is a great host and goes above and beyond to help.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
The hostess was amazing. We had a lovely stay and would definetly stay again.
The breakfast was really good, there was toast, some buns, many jams and salad. And tea, coffee and milk was available as well.
An onsen is close by and free to use in the evening, the hostess prepared a full onsen set for us to use and gave us an onsen discount pass for other onsens in the area.
It is close to the lake toya and onsen area.
The room was really comfortable and we had a good sleep.
Parking was available as well.
The hosts were really nice, helpful and welcoming, we spent only one night here but I would definitely recommend and come back again.
Thank you for your hospitality!
Very lovely hosts, made us breakfast every morning and even drove us an hour and a half away to the Noboribetsu station because we had made a mistake. Also drove us to the bus station because we were running late. Very very kind
Great little guesthouse, owner is absolutely lovely! Cooked breakfast was delicious. Has a very comforting and heart-warming feeling. Highly recommended for a stay in the area!
