The Galaxy Guest house offers you an amazing experience in the coziest place I have ever been to in Japan. The hosts are excellent and both speak perfect English. The house is equipped with a gorgeous shower, the beds are so comfortable, the rooms are spacious and the common area makes you feel right at home.
The island is a perfect getaway from the busy city life and is a great place to recharge both physically and mentally! And the hosts will make you feel right at home!

Perfect location (walking distance to restaurants, supermarket, bus station and tourist office).
The owner was very helpful (I got stuck for a day due to a storm), he drove me to the airport twice in order to help make arrangements for a new flight. Absolutely recommended
Located 300 metres from Hideie Ukita Tomb, Kencha Rumah offers 2-star accommodation in Hachijo and has a garden. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property and private parking is available on site....
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
The quiet surroundings and comfortable beds, amazing breakfast in the morning, and the kind hospitality from the staff. We had a really nice break away from the city in Mantenbo and rested really well with no problems at all!
Keiko and Kenta were exceptional hosts. Their home is beautiful and comforting. Great view from the deck, you can see Aogashima in the distance on a clear day, and the Milky Way up above on a clear night. They have notebooks with wonderful messages from guests dating back to 2006!
The host very kind to pick us up from airport and drop us to have lunch at a local famous restaurant. Very spacious room and clean. The host likes music so named the room with vocal range 😆
Keiko and Kenta were very nice and attentive hosts, staying in the Guesthouse almost felt like home. Also they had some good advice for travelling around the island or good places for coffee/dinner.
Last but not least we really want to come back. We are pretty sad that the four days are over.
The owners are super nice and sweet - we had such a great stay and experience, it was definitely unique! (Thanks for the coffee and tea btw) The view, the people, just laying outside to see the stars, everybody was super friendly and welcoming! The shared room is very big and comfortable. Additionally, they gave us ideas of where to go and what to visit and eventually showed us around a bit! I will definitely choose this Guest house again if I come back to the island! And it is the first time I recommended a Hotel to friends after my stay!
This beautiful guesthouse seems like a magician house from a Ghibli film. It is hidden deep in the woods with only one path between the trees. It is a perfect place for people who like nature and silence. At night it is completely dark and quiet. You can really relax in there. The owner, mrs. Keiko, is a talented artist and the whole house is decorated with her paintings and earthware.
