Very convenient for riding the Shimanami. Host was fabulous with making restaurant bookings and getting on the road with a hearty breakfast the next morning. Nearby public Onsen fantastic after day of riding

This was truly an exceptional experience all around. A perfectly cozy and comfortable room for two (nothing too fancy, but complete with everything you need and even nicer than the photos suggest) plus the warm hospitality of the gracious hosts who welcomed us with cold drinks and immense kindness. The location is perfect, about 2/3 of the way to Imabari, and the views overlooking the water are the cherry on top - as is the selection of homemade jams which we made sure to purchase of a few of to bring home. Would highly recommend 伯方plus+!

Stayed here as a cycling on the Shimanami Kaido. Staff were friendly, accommodating, and spoke English well.
Excellent traditional Japanese breakfast. Are hosts were charming and and friendly, and happy to talk about the history of the house.

We stopped here during our two days of cycling and were very pleased with the stay. The host (Sayomi) is so gracious to open up her home to cyclists. She also provides a delicious dinner and breakfast which is so important as there are very few restaurants along the way. This is a true homestay and we thoroughly enjoyed speaking with Sayomi over our meals with the help of google translate.

The guesthouse is located just a short distance from the Yuge Port and can be reached by local bus. The accommodation was excellent - spartan but extremely comfortable. It truly is a hidden gem and the host, Koji, was very helpful and spoke excellent English. I wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights!

Stopped off here halfway through the Shimanami Kaido. Reo was such a good host and Tora is such a good cat. We chatted for ages and exchanged gifts.
The room was an authentic Japanese experience.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
