The property is very clean, comfortable and very helpful for foreigners, room was clearly labeled, instructions in Japanese and English, how to use the laundry machine, kitchen gadgets, lights, aircon; the kitchen is stocked with simple cooked rice and packed curry available on hand (please pay cash or pay-pay application). I was reserved for second floor room with futon (no bed), small desk, lamp, ceiling and aircon with remote with explanations how to use, towels, toothbrush, amenities including face lotion provided for free use. Make sure to buy something before arriving as the nearest convenience store seems to be on the other side of the bridge.

Beautiful Japanise room. We've enjoyed the shared facility, like kitchen and laundry. Communication with owner was perfect: all the instruction available for a late check-out. 10 minuts walking there is a 24h open shop.

Oyado Hana is a lovely traditional property with an excellent location! You are near the bus stop and the train. You can walk to the harbor area - which has a large free foot onsen facing the ocean! So great 🙂 You can easily walk to restaurants - a very good one right next door, and walk to a whole covered street with shops. This is a fairly quiet coastal town famous for their tuna, including a tuna auction by the harbor early in the morning.
We had a very pleasant stay here for 2 nights after hiking 2 days on the Kumono Kodo. The staff here is helpful and friendly. A big plus for the onsen you can reserve at the property, a fresh water dispenser in the hall, a common kitchen, supplies for coffee and tea, and luggage storage. We would definitely stay here again if we have a chance.

A beautiful traditional Japanese home.Everything was spotless and the area nice and quiet at night , very safe to go for a night walk. The owner is a lovely lady who is very kind and gracious. first time we have ever slept on a futon, it was nice and comfortable. Lots of small places to have a meal. Very close to the station
Guest House Branchee is situated in Kushimoto, 3.6 km from Shionomisaki Shrine, 11 km from Kushimoto Turkish Memorial and Museum, as well as 28 km from Taiji Municipal Stone Wall Memorial Hall.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
A laid-back and quiet place with everything we needed. The room was comfortable with nice thick futons and everything was very clean. No meals provided at Fukurou but there was a microwave available, and a kettle provided in the room. A taxi from Kushimoto station cost 2000 yen. There's a bus service but a limited timetable, so make sure to check the times. We enjoyed being out in the backblocks and walking into Kushimoto. We did a snorkelling tour with ARK diving, which was excellent.
This ground floor house is in a very quiet area next door to a Shrine about 12 mins walk south of Shirahama station on flat roads.
The house is lovely - staying here is a beautiful way to experience modern Japanese living.
Large bedroom for two people with comfortable futon beds. Living room plus lounge room and large kitchen. Laundry and bathroom are down one end and very private.
The owner is a lovely man who was happy to pick us up upon arrival and show us around the house.
Perfect stay for us in Kushimoto! Japanese style home was huge and could easily accomodate a large family, fully equipped with all the amenities (kitchen, bathroom, bedroom). Not forgetting that owner is extremely hospitable as well. Would not hesitate to choose Guesthouse Mori again when visiting Kushimoto
The host - he’s kind, friendly and attended to my needs, helped me to sort out dinner, he literally saved me that night
Facilities - they were clean and comfortable
Tidy hotel, very nice and helpful staff. Great location. The view from the room is unforgetable. The concept of open self-dinning area where you can bring in your own meal and get coffee is convenient and pleasant. Perfect.
Everthing was perfect for me, Miki was very helpful and friendly, the bathroom was wonderful after hiking, toilet and bedroom as well clean and tidy. There is a supermarket nearby and I could use the big kitchen that was well equipped. The village was good to reach but quiet. Very recommendable!
