There is a tourist information close to the station which provided a map of Ome and marked the guest house. The owner only communicated in Japanese, a bit difficult when you have none. While still secure, no key is required and the guest can enter by themselves. Sleeping is on a traditional mat on the floor. It was so peaceful, the air and water were very refreshing and clean. The traditional Japanese style room and breakfast was a great experience but above all, the hosts were the best. They were super friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We travelled with a baby and they helped us in many ways that I am so grateful for! We felt so at home, even though if we communicated via the Google Translator (this is totally viable)! The room is very cozy and has a magnificent view on the Tama River down below. We definitely recommend to take the breakfast option: it is a traditional Japanese breakfast prepared by the hosts, it was very delicious. They have two cute cats, which visit while you eat.
