It’s close to the lake. The double room was spacious. The hotel was quiet and mostly clean. The bath was very small but no other people were there, so like a private bath.

The owner was very kind and helpful. He did his best in accommodating our requests for laundry (easy, washing mashines just next door), kitchen (not so easy, there was a microwave, a fridge, and a water heater, but no proper kitchen with utensils), and local transportation options. The level of hygene was very high. Beds were comfortable too. The location is great, just one minute walk to the lake shore and 10 minute walk to the bus terminal with connections to Sapporo. We were also given 500 yen tickets for a hotel onsen that normally costs 1500 yen.

We came to Hokkaido to snowboard at Niseko/Rusutsu in February, and this place was a wonderful cozy home stay for our trip!
You definitely need a car to get here, and it's about an 1hr drive to either ski resort. However, despite the distance, the place was really warm and clean, and the hosts made us feel at home. Every day they provided a variety of breakfast and coffee, cleared snow off our car, checked in on us to see if we made it to the nearby onsen for our evening baths, and even had laundry.
There are mini heaters in the room that are powerful enough to keep the room warm, and the blankets provided are so comfy!
The hosts themselves are incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful. Would definitely recommend a stay here!!

The snow dome was beautiful and super warm during our winter stay. The facilities made it super easy to maintain our clothing/snowboard gear and the staff were absolutely accommodating. This trip included multiple stays at multiple locations but this one was by far the best.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
It’s a nice and cozy cottage run by the owner himself. He welcomed us in person and very friendly. The cottage is only 5 minutes drive from the town center but very quiet and private. The house and yard is well equipped and decoration is fantastic. Loads of choices for children activities.
I thought I already reviewed this place... but booking.com keeps asking for another review... so here we go.
This is a great traditional pension near Lake Toya. Ample parking, great included dinner and breakfast, friendly people. There's convenience store next door. The room had a great view of Lake. Definitely a good place for a stopover on a Hokkaido road trip.
This is a family run pension. A Japanese breakfast and dinner are included.
The rooms are upstairs, (no lift) and are large. And they overlook the lake, across the main road.
Quaint and quiet place by the lake. Big rooms with windows facing the lake. The bathhouse was good as well. Most of the time, I'm alone inside. Breakfast was amazing and homely. The place is run by an elderly couple, and they were really attentive and friendly as well. For people who are coming here, I would recommend driving as the nearest town is quite a distance away. Having said that, there is a convenience store right beside it.
Run by an old couple and living there with her family. Quiet and with beautiful view of the Toya Lake. Excellent breakfast and coffee/tea machine in corridor.
