The hosts were very kind and friendly. They operate a small cafe in the morning that turns into a small bar at night. I had a great time just talking with the host and a few of the other guests at the bar.
The location is great as well. Only about a 5 minute walk to the onsen and about 10 minutes to Takeo shrine.
The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Overall, I had a great stay and will stay here again.

So cool to stay in an old, traditional house, which had everything we needed. Owner was super friendly and even had some free pottery we were welcome to take. (And he had great suggestions for where to eat nearby and even left us some instant ramen to eat, if we got hungry.) The futon heaters were great and definitely needed when a cold wind storm blew in!

knowing the way of a traditional country house the experience was better than I thought. The location is great and the close towns around are just a walk away. If you like walking, its your place. The serenity , quietness and peace all around are stunning. We could feel the love put into the house during its remodeling. Admiring the way to stay as close as possible to original materials and way of building it. The living room is great and wants you to stay overlooking the rice patties all day long.

Overall it was a nice experience. The couple welcomed me nicely and offered me a free dinner (Japanese home made). The room was so spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed, a sofa and a big tv screen, you can watch YouTube, or subscribe (with money) to see Netflix, Amazon prime contents. There's also a fridge inside the room. They have a pipe connected directly with the onsen. So you can enjoy a bath and onsen together. It's equipped with toothpaste/toothbrush, towels and slippers. Even though it was a shared room for 3 people, I was the only one guest inside. I thought the guest house was expensive but since they offered free dinner, it's reasonable.

The owner is extremely nice and communicative. We had kind of a strange schedule, and she was very accommodating when it came to our check-in time. She also gave us some amazing recommendations for things to do around the local area that we wouldn't have done otherwise. This location is on a very quiet street and a few minutes walk away from the cute train station. Parking is free. We're glad all the hotels in Nagasaki were so expensive/booked up because it led us to stay in this absolutely beautiful area.

The location is unbeatable. Things are walking distance. The shrine is nearby, and I climbed up to the top of the mountain for a view to the Sea of Japan.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
the apartment is beautiful and we felt very comfortable. the hosts were so nice and helpful, even gave us freshly baked cake and helped us plan our trip when trains didn’t drive because of heavy rain and gave us recommendations for our next stop.
We had a lovely time staying in this traditional Japanese style apartment. It is tidy and spacious, has lots of details hidden around the corners. The host was very friendly, responsive and helpful, provided detailed suggestions about placed worth visiting in Takeo and even guided us to see fireflies at night. The day we checkout out of the apartment we forgot backpack on the bus, the host was kind enough to contact the bus company for us right away. This is by far the most pleasant stay we ever had in any country.
The traditional house set up. 2 tatami rooms with 2 futon beds each.thw tatami beds were very comfortable. It's like an air bnb and the hosts were super helpful. I didn't even have to contact them upon arrival. They came down to greet us and were available for any question. They were very kind in suggesting places to see. It has an elevator as well, so it was great for luggage.
The accommodation is cosy, comfortable, well equipped and situated in good location next to Takeo Onsen Romon.
The hosts are very friendly and helpful to provide sightseeing information. They are prompt to response and totally no barriers to communicate in English.
Staff were very accommodating and helped us sort out duplicated bookings. Room was comfortable, felt luxurious and quiet. Breakfast was good. Great location. Good parking space. Less than 10 min drive to Mifuneyama Park.
We had a lovely time at this country house. We would love to stay at least two days next time visiting. The house is in the middle of the rice field. In the morning you can have a walk around the field and forest, birds singing, surrounding is green and peaceful. The breakfast was delicious and presented really pretty by the host. After check in we drove to Takeo Onsen for a bath.
Everything is good. The host arrange well for our arrival and already prepared some snack and tea.
It's an entire apartment which is very clean and spacious. There is an information booklet which shows some attractions around.
The famous TAKEO onsen is in 2 minutes walking distance.
The town is very peaceful and perfect for vacation.
