Nice location and room

The place was so clean and the owners so welcoming! They served family style diner with all the travelers together and everything was given so much thought. Perfect for a backpacking adventure. Such lovely people!!

Sara and Masa were fantastic, the place was beautiful and comfortable. dinner was amazing and breakfast was fun ♥️ didn’t want to leave.

The owner was simply amazing. She picked me up from the train station, drove me to the place and we sat down for a little talk. She was super friendly and shared all these good tips for eating out. It really made me feel home! Thank you again☀️

What a wonderful place to stay. Besides the train occasionally and a few cars driving by it was a great experience. Very clean and the staff is very friendly. She went out of her way to help me. Highly recommended.

It’s an interesting concept though I felt that it is very overpriced for what you are getting. I needed a property for my Kumano Kodo hike and this was available. Since there are not many accommodations in this area, I had to accept the high price. The property consists of refurbished shipping containers that are arranged in a gated community. Rooms are equipped with a kitchen area, shower, and a toilet. There is also a combined AC/heater machine to control the temperature. The property is sparking clean and the beds are comfortable. In terms of negatives, there is no person on site. You need to register on the iPad and then do a Skype call with someone on the other side. Once they are happy with your answers, you get a code to access your room. It took me multiple tries to reach someone; I presume they were on a break. This delayed my check in by about 15 mins. Also, there isn’t much by way of facilities. There is a washing machine/dryer and a fire pit. They also have a pizza oven , though I don’t know how often one makes pizza in Japan. The smoke from the fire pit travelled directly into my room so this brought back fond memories of forced camping trips. Overall, this is a solid accommodation but I felt that it is too expensive for what is provided.

Mayumi is very nice and hospitable. I appreciate the traditional Japanese house especially it’s my first time in Japan. The place is very clean. Everything was provided. There’s coffee, tea, sugar, creamer, sweetener. It has a full kitchen with fridge, microwave, stove, etc. the bathroom was very clean and modern.
