Beautiful little house, very spacious for two people and good value. Our host Mizuho was extremely helpful with information, leaving us little surprise snacks and even driving us to Toyama station when we checked out.
The house is 15-20 minutes way from the main cbd/Toyama Station, so you need to get a local bus if you don’t have a car. But there are helpful instructions at the property, and we found it a bit of an adventure to catch the bus.
Also you get lovely views of the mountains when walking in the neighbourhood, which you don’t get in the cbd.
Also recommend the Yakatori restaurant near the house. Cosy vibe and delicious food.

Located just by the train stations. Perfect location for starting or finishing the main part of the Alpine Route. The room was nice. We enjoyed very much dinner and breakfast. Lovely small hotel!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
The hostel is very close to the train station
Easy to access and find
Mattress was very comfy
Kitchen is clean with good appliances
The whole hostel is so clean +++
Special mention for the staff, so charming, lovely and friendly
Big hugs to the 2 cats
The accommodation was cozy and walking distance away from the nearest city tram station. The owner was friendly and goes the extra mile to get to know his guests, and provide recommendations and suggestions accordingly.
Being away from Toyama city center, one can get a glimpse of a quieter neighborhood, which is a big plus.
Quiet, friendly host, very good breakfast. Pleasant atmosphere. Owner is Canadian so easier to converse for us. Not expensive. Small so only a few guests. Easy tram ride from Toyama station.
The property was pleasant with the host being friendly and informative. Great western style breakfast. It’s a 5 minute walk from the tram stop, 15-20 minutes to the beach and right near the main historic street. It’s a nice place to stay for a night in a quiet little town.
If you love the outdoors, definitely stay at this guesthouse! It is surrounded by beautiful Japanese nature, not too far from the mountains - perfect for hiking, climbing as well as snowboarding. Besides that, the hosts are very warm and welcoming, and their son is the cutest Japanese child I have met. The food is authentic Japanese - absolutely a must try! The bedroom is also in traditional Japanese style, which I really appreciated.
A quick walk from the station, very safe and quiet area. The beds were much bigger than any hostel I’ve been in before (tall enough to stand up in!) and each had its own safe box and storage space. The facilities (kitchen, toilets, lounge areas) were clean and comfortable, and there were small towels that you could use for free or bigger ones for rent. As a bonus, there are CATS !! who are very friendly. The owners are nice people as well.
A clean, spacious two-storied house and comfy stay.
The tablewares were gorgeous that was my dream tableware and cabinets. All necessities are in place. The foot massager and private parking lot just outside the house were bonuses. The kitchen was well equipped, just missing a chopping knife. The host was nice and helpful. The laundry machine and other home facilities worked perfectly. The place is so clean. Everything feels like cleaned right before we arrived. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. We had three sweet comfy nights.
We were happy to be walking distance to the beach on a hot day. The location is very accessible by transit. We loved how quiet the area was. The neighbours were very friendly - we ended up watching fireworks with both the host and the neighbours. There was an unexpected festival we came across (Minato), and it was an excellent, friendly experience. The host was very communicative and helpful.
Great hostel, staff was super super nice and accommodating. The beds were super comfortable and had a lot of vertical space so it was nice and airy inside.
