A recently renovated guest house, Kusatsu Onsen Guesthouse Gyoten offers accommodation in Kusatsu.

Staff was friendly even when we made a booking mistake and had more people than anticipated. Futons were very comfortable and it's nice hostel vibes. Owner/staffer made us tea with some friends.

It was fun to have a pension experience with dinners and breakfast provided. Everything was tasty. Dinner drinks not included but there was a good wine list to go with the continental dinner cuisine. Really nice onsen bath inside with genuine local hot spring water (full of minerals, very hot, slightly sour) in the wood & tile tub.

    It was a perfect stay! The house was so clean and full of useful amenities, everthing is new and comforting. Both the inside and outside of the house had everything we needed. It is a great place to spend a snow holiday. Denis was a great and welcoming host and took care of anything and beyond. Highly recommended!
