Amazing place with the best owner I have ever met since I am on booking (at least 20 years!)

The host was really cool and we could tell he is a very welcoming and warm-hearted soul. We appreciated the cleanliness and organization of the place. We really enjoyed the sauna and hot tub that felt brand new. It is also a convenient 10-minute walk to the beach! The host took some memorable pictures of us, which we also really appreciate. This is a special place ran by a genuine, down-to-earth host. Thank you G-Sun for creating a lovely Wakayama experience!

A very comfortable home with an amazing kitchen and very comfortable beds. The breakfast prepared for us was delicious and catered to my friend's gluten allergies.

Quiet area; large space for a solo traveler; shower stall and facilities were very clean; has a kitchen if you need to cook or store anything; check in and out was easy; not too far from the station; this was a good place for me to stay the night before my very early flight (I left the property by 4:50am)
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
The place was clean, quiet and well-located. The hosts did a good job when it comes to decoration and everything was labeled in English, it was really helpful. Hiroko and Kazu are very thoughtful, a little welcoming note was placed next to the door and she even offered me a ride to go back to the station for me to avoid having to carry my backpack on the way. Definitely recommend this cute hidden hostel.
This place was way much better than most guesthouses you can find for this price!
The common space were very comfortable, cosy and well decorated, the kitchen was fully equiped and very convenient, the dorms very spacious and pleasant, the hosts very welcoming... I appreciated a lot and met some great people.
Hiroko was a hero to us as our flight was delayed 2 hours and we only reached Wakayama in the midnight. She offered us the ride to the hostel and welcome us with her warm heart and explained everything to us. The room is really tidy and she has prepared the futon for us! I really like it! Toilets are very clean! Very quiet neighborhood! Will definitely recommend others to stay!
A few stops by taking buses to the hotel, it's actually a walking distance for me if weather not hot and without luggage.
Great location near Wakayama castle with castle night view.
Warm and polite staff, spacious washroom, clean and quiet.
I was travelling to visit Tomogashima Island near Kada and was having trouble finding accommodation for a reasonable price. Luckily, I was able to find Surf G-Inn which turned out to be a great experience. The host, Takaji, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. He gave me some great suggestions around the area and was kind enough to drop me off to the port for me to catch my ferry. The house was very clean and organised and was located in a nice, quiet part of town. Great experience!
The staff! They were cheerful, polite, efficient, helpful (it seems they could anticipate one’s queries!) knowledgeable and patient.
On-site laundry facilities - good to have especially when one is moving from city to city (travelling light with minimal clothing etc).
It’s location is great for our purpose - though a little away from the main train station and city centre - of having some peace and quiet. It’s located right next to Wakayama Castle - nice walking paths.
We surely struck gold with this guest house & its owners. They were so friendly, warm & welcoming. Also, they responded super fast. The space was very clean & the fact that we didn’t have to wash our dishes was very convenient. Check-in was flexible & we got detailed info/recommendations tailored to our needs. My only regret is that I didn’t book a longer stay. Upon revisiting Japan, Tsukiji Hostel will be on my itinerary for sure ✨✌️😎
it was simple and enjoyable for one or two nights, therefore a cheap opportunity. the location was great and sightseeing easy from the guesthouse, because it was located near to the wakayama station
