Our recent stay at Casa del Porto Byblos was a fantastic experience, offering a unique blend of historical charm and modern comfort. Nestled in the heart of ancient Byblos, the suite is part of a beautifully restored traditional sandstone house, providing an authentic atmosphere that feels both timeless and welcoming.
The private patio overlooks the historic Phoenician harbor, making it the perfect spot to take in the stunning sea views and, most memorably, the breathtaking sunsets. Watching the sky fade into warm hues over the water was a highlight of our visit.
The host’s warm hospitality added a personal touch, making us feel truly welcome. A real character, they made sure we had everything we needed and even shared some great local recommendations. The discount at a nearby restaurant was also very welcome.
Casa del Porto Byblos is a wonderful place to stay, offering history, comfort, and a genuine sense of place. A highly recommended spot for anyone visiting Byblos.

A home away from home. An outstanding location, an outstanding place to stay, and an outstanding team that will go above and beyond to make you feel at home and to help you in whatever way you need. This is my second time staying here and I'm looking forward to staying there again.

Organized, good standards of amenities and staff efficient and welcoming.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Mr.Carles is a true gentleman, the best kindest man, so helpful and caring. Our stay was all the better for him.
Breakfast was so healthy and fresh, lebanese style with beautiful jam....
The ladies Sara and Sonya were too kind.
We loved our vacation. Hotel peaceful and quiet across the road from beach, and very near the town.
We will return!
Thank you very much.
The hotel is quiet good . The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a pleasant stay for 2 nights. We chilled at the pool on our last night. There are some cats around ( a plus for us as we have 2 cats back home).
Located on a hill 5 minute drive from the highway so it's necessary to have a car. There are some restaurants nearby but you can also eat at the hotel as the prices are surprisingly very reasonable.
The shower is small as some previous guests wrote, but the room itself is quiet big.
The view was awesome, the owner and the staff members were really warm and helpful, and you felt like you are living with a family. Furthermore, the breakfast was delicious, I especially enjoyed labneh. The place was super clean and maintained really well, if you also think about the unstable situation in Lebanon right now, and it was mostly quiet. I would like to come back one day!
Great location, walking distance to everything worthy (beaches, city centre, restaurants, etc.).
Staff very kind. They even gave us a room with balcony since it was available.
Big mini-bar, and ac working very well.
The host, Joseph, is absolutely exceptional. He makes you feel like you are guests, not clients. People revisit Byblos and the guest house due to him (there was one such family during our stay and I can well imagine doing it myself in the future). He offers to drive you anywhere within Byblos if he's in the guesthouse and you can trust his recommendations in terms of drivers, restaurants etc.
Room was spacious and clean with a great ocean view. The host Joseph was extremely friendly and helpful, always going an extra mile to make us comfortable and happy.
Byblos itself is a very chilled place, and this hotel is the perfect match for this city.
The location is good and close to a big supermarket, although not exactly on the city centre, is reachable via an easy walk or a cheap taxi.
