The owner was very friendly and very helpful. We booked a triple with a shared bathroom but when we arrived he allocated us a room with an adjacent bathroom for our exclusive use. The room and bathroom were large and very clean.
The owner does not live on site (5 mins away)so issued us with front door keys so we could come and go as we wished and insisted on being there when we checked out a 6am the following morning which was kind. He also gave us his phone number so we could contact at him at any time.
The location is excellent for anyone using the train station. It is about 7 mins walking distance from the station and located in the towns Main Street so there are plenty of food opportunities. It takes about 5 mins in a Tuk Tuk from the station (needs to go around the one way system) and that costs under LKR200.
It was a great overnight stay in an interesting vibrant town.
Highly recommend

About 20 mins walk from the railway station. Near Nine Arch Bridge path too. The room and bathroom are spacious and clean. Breakfast is basic and sufficient. The guy is fantastic, I need to leave around 5:45am to catch an early train to Colombo, and he packed the breakfast and unlocked the gate for me! Appreciate it! Will be great if an electric kettle is also provided in the room.

I had a wonderful one-night stay at Blooming Rose. Check-in was very easy, and the owner was kind and caring. The location is away from town, up in the mountains, offering a beautiful view and the relaxing sounds of nature and a nearby waterfall. The bed was comfortable, and I had a great night’s sleep. Breakfast was nice, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and refreshing. A perfect place to unwind!

It was a bit hard to find at first, but they picked us up with a tuk-tuk, which was helpful. Overall, no major issues. The manager was attentive and responsive.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
This is a lovely property with an amazing view on the quiet outskirts of Badulla. Hasindu is an extremely cheerful, helpful host, and he is also a great cook! He helped us arrange everything we wanted to do and was very responsive to everything we needed help with. I would definitely stay here again!
Amazing view for a cheap price! Highly recommended this place for anyone whose looking for a comfortable stay in Badulla area. I travelled a lot in Badulla and I must say this place was the best!
Our host was more than friendly and heldpful. The location is nice and not too far from the city center, the road to there is a little bumpy but. Breakfast was good, dinner is provided from outside if you want and was very tasty:)
Excellent host and staff...beautiful setting but difficult to access. Tuk tuk does it but hair raising..food is good as well...charming place my wife loved it
Such a phenomenal place. Balcony looking onto majestic trees.
Very authentic and cool hosts, who made our stay a delight.
Viraj and his family are amazing! They have a little cafè above and offer rice and curry home made for visitors. :):)
They became friends to us. Thanks for the coolest guest house experience we had in Sri Lanka!
Host treated us like a guest. Very friendly. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean. Totally accommodation is much worth to the money. We hired a van also there to our trip. That’s also very cheap to compare to outside. Honestly they made our trip more more enjoyable and comfortable. Thank you Aiya❤️for your help and everything.
