Set just 80 metres from Dickwella Beach, Nimal's House features accommodation in Dickwella with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a 24-hour front desk.

We loved it here. Nimal and Mrs Nimal were so helpful and friendly offering advice to us for our trip both in Dikwalla and for the other places we are visiting. They even spent time playing board games with our children which is a challenge at the best of times. The room was great for our family, 2 big adjoining bedrooms, a massive kitchen and bathroom. We also had a lovely balcony where we ate the delicious breakfast Mrs Nimal made. Definitely coming back here if we come back to Sri Lanka!

Parasol dore is a recently renovated guest house in Dickwella, where guests can makes the most of its infinity pool, private beach area and water sports facilities.

Parasol Dole is a little slice of heaven. We had the ultimate relaxation time where we were able to switch off from everything. The accommodation is beautiful. We loved the room, which had bi-folding doors directly out to the pool area and beach. The pool was clean and refreshing. We spent the majority of our time on the beach, which felt private as we were usually the only ones on it. There are body boards to use at your leisure and we had so much fun body boarding in the waves for hours on end. There is an area further up the beach that frequently has turtles, so we had the opportunity to snorkel and saw several turtles close to shore. The staff were so generous and hospitable. They kindly organised us tuk tuks into town whenever we needed, which always arrived within 10 minutes of booking. Roshan particularly went out of his way to recommend things to do in the area and offered to drive us round the town for some sightseeing. We couldn’t fault the service. We really enjoyed the breakfast. The pancakes, omelettes and fruit platter were exceptionally good! Highly recommend this serene and stunning boutique hotel and we will definitely return on our next visit to Sri Linka!

A real jungle vibe with clean and big rooms with AC. The rooms were spacious and clean, very good bathroom. The breakfast was amazing!!! I would stay for a month just for the breakfast. The family was so friendly and accommodating, we even got invited to the birthday party and had cake. They also had a really cute 4 month puppy too called cashew.

Avalon Pillow Park Hiriketiya, a property with a garden, is situated in Dickwella, 200 metres from Dickwella Beach, 500 metres from Hiriketiya Beach, as well as 2.7 km from Batheegama Beach.

This accommodation was maybe our favorite in Sri Lanka! Especially due to the friendliness of the owner. Also it is well located and you are basically next to the beach (2min walk). Next door there is a great coffee place and the stay also has a kitchen which can be used. The owner was super supportive, gave us some great tips, organized us a motorbike and even gave me first aid after I hurt my leg. Honestly thank you guys for all your kindness and this beautiful experience!! Highly recommended!

I loved how the family literally adopts you as one of their own — they are incredibly helpful, attentive, and loving. Everything is super clean and comfortable, and they pay attention to every detail for the guest’s well-being. The rooms are spacious and the bed is super comfortable too. Breakfast is abundant. The space is very peaceful — perfect for resting or working. They’re also very flexible with everything. I could totally live here!

Hosts are genuinely hospitable, room was very proper, very good value for money. Location is ideal, quiet and close to the 2 beaches in the area which are dickwella beach if you want to chill and hiriketiya beach if you want to surf. Common area is great and includes hammocks. Breakfast and meals cam be prepared for you by the owners for very cheap price. I recommend!

Lovely small hotel with great hosts and staff. Stylish rooms, with best view towards the pool and beach. We even got to see some baby turtles being released to the ocean. The breakfast is really nice with all sorts of fruits, fresh pancakes and eggs however you like them. Located in quiet Batheegama, only a quick 10 min tuktuk ride to Hiriketiya.

This small 3 bedroom guesthouse is set on a quiet beach not far from busy Hiriketiya and Dickwella. Jeremy has organized us scooters and gave us lots of tips for the area. Although we loved to spend our days mostly on the beach right in front of the house. July and Jeremy are lovely hosts, super relaxed and so is the whole staff. Also Julie has a beautiful shop called Gambette upstairs where she carefully designs her own fashion label with a French twist.

A nice peaceful guesthouse in a great location (easy walking distance from bus stop, Dickwella beach and Hiriketiya) with spacious and very clean room. A caring, generous host who welcomed us with a nice tea and treated our child to fresh fruit and cake. Very sweet!

Great location, right by the sea and between Dickwella and Hiriketiya beach (both easy to walk to) and plenty of restaurants around. Melanie was a great host and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and set us up with anything we needed (including veralu acharu and affordable transport). The bungalow has a lot of privacy and the staff is great!

lovely and quiet, really friendly guy that runs it who was about when I needed him. great to have a fridge and I asked for a knife and plate to cut my fruit and keep my water in. i needed the windows open the whole time even with the fan and there’s no net above the bed so be careful but I had absolutely no issues with mosquitos! cheaper than the hostel which was great to have my own space!
