Nice location, calm area far from the street noise. Very kind owners, they were always ready to help us ( for example rent a bike) and checked on us when we didn’t come for breakfast one day. I liked that washing machine was available in there as well other kitchen staff.

This accommodation is all about the location. When you step out the door you are right at a really beautiful and less touristy beach - for us the best beach of Sri Lanka. The waves are strong and the restaurants close by (esp. Heimat Hugs) are delicious. The streets to other places like Galle or Weligama/Mirissa are very busy but with a scooter you will make it there in no time. On top, our host were very hospitable and helped us organize a scooter since many places ran out of rentable bikes (scooters).
The size of the accommodation is just enough for two.
Set within 500 metres of Dalawella Beach and less than 1 km of Mihiripenna Beach in Unawatuna, Tiny Royal Palace offers accommodation with seating area.

Beautiful colonial style place, amazing pool with lights. Very friendly people, helpful, took us to a great local place (Mami’s) and overall a great stay.

Amazing garden. Calm and serene place.
Clean and nice beds and sheets.
Lovely outdoor bathroom.
Big room.
Nice breakfast.
I loved to see the animals around the premises that were there sometimes: (monkeys, nice birds, mongoose, a peacock, kittens).
Good muskito net.
The pool and sunbeds were nice. Free beach towels.
Rooms were cleaned daily.
Very nice building, traditional wooden doors and furniture.
Helpfull staff.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Spacious Beachfront room on the First floor with all amenities - fridge, kettle, cups, plates. Clean bathroom. Balcony with chairs. Breakfast was yummy. 5 kms away from the hust and bustle of Unawatuna town. Right across (just 50 metres) the Habaraduwa railway station on the main road to Matara. The host was very friendly and helpful. He brought us from the station and then took us twice to Unawatuna town. If you're looking for a quiet, comfy beach-side living experience, this is ideal.
The setting is that of a villa in the jungle immersed in nature and silence. The VIP pool was quite amazing. We got a free upgrade due to availability!
Wish we could have spent more time. There is enough parking at the premises. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to requests. The food portions were actually larger than we hoped and tasty too.
It is not even 500m from the main town, therefore ample amenities close by as well. Being very close to some charming beaches, probably the best place for swimmers and surfers as well
Great place to unwind and relax as very quiet off the main road. The beach and restaurants are a walk or Tuk Tuk ride away. We used Suresh who was at the hotel very good driver safe and knowledgeable
The food we ordered was good but maybe a little too much. Pools clean and well maintained
The stay at Mallis Guesthouse was definitely the best I had during my 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. Nilu and her family made me feel like a true part of the family, she is an exceptionally kind and supportive host. She helped me with a ton of things and surprised me many times with little and not so little treats.
The apartment is very well equipped and a great place to hang out, also for longer times.
I would come back any time :)
Awesome place in nature, very quiet and 5 min from the beach. The host is super kind and always ready to help (in addition she’s a great cook). I loved staying here and would definitely recommend it!
Green Stay was simply amazing!! I wish I could stay longer in this cozy place. It is peaceful, cozy and the owner, Sarath was a great host. The villa is an ideal place if you like to stay local, true to the authentic Sri Lankan greenery. The rooms, washrooms and the kitchen were all clean, quite spacious and the location is peaceful to have a very relaxing stay. Perfect if one is looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay. I'd definitely come back.
