I had an amazing stay at Heaven Hills Guest House! The location is perfect, just a short distance from Maskeliya city centre, which makes it easy to enjoy the city's attractions while being in a peaceful and serene environment. The rooms are Basic but incredibly clean and well maintained, with plenty of space to relax. The hot water in the bathroom has great pressure, which was a nice touch.
The Owner 'Namal' was absolutely fantastic-very friendly, helpful, and always available to assist with anything. He arranged everything perfectly and provided extraordinary support whenever necessary. The place is quiet and calm, and the mountain and tea field view from the property is simply stunning. After Adams peak hiking we did the gartmore falls tour with owner's Brother 'Tharaka' which was incredible experience, They also offer Dinner and breakfast, which was delicious.
I highly recommend Heaven Hills Guest House, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. It’s a great place to stay with top-notch service!

We stayed at Butterfly Mountain for two nights. The hosts were four ladies who were lovely and helpful, and they gave us some great advice. The rooms were pretty basic, but they had everything we needed. The only problems were that they were a bit damp (but that's a general problem due to the climate), and the view of the lake and Adams Peak from the split terrace was amazing. We ate dinner there as well, as there aren't really any other restaurants in the area. The food was delicious and plentiful, but a little more expensive than we were used to in Sri Lanka (but maybe that's the price you pay for the location).
Featuring mountain views, Princess of Dickoya Homestay offers accommodation with balcony, around 43 km from Gregory Lake. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi.

I had a really nice stay here! The location was absolutely perfect—just a short walk from the start of the Adam’s Peak trail, which made my early morning hike so much easier. The room was clean, comfy, and had everything we needed for a good night’s rest before the climb. Staff were friendly and helpful too. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Location is perfect - short walk to the start of the Adam‘s Peak hike. I found the room to be very quiet and peaceful with a very comfortable bed. It was pretty basic (no tv, no kettle, no chair) but I was only there for the climb so I didn‘t spent much time there. Bathroom had a very modern shower and enough hot water. I could here the little stream outside which was beautiful and calming. I didn’t hear any street noise.
The hosts were welcoming and friendly. I had dinner and breakfast at the hotel which I both enjoyed.
The bathroom was a bit smelly when I got there but the smell disappeared over night. There were some minor electrical problems with the room light flickering quite a bit. Wifi is only available in the main area, does not extend to the room.
Featuring mountain views, Traveller's Villa offers accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 47 km from Gregory Lake. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking.

We had a lovely welcome to this place with tasty and well needed welcome drinks after a long travel day.
The kind owners made our stay very smooth, gave us great tips, arranged a scooter for us and they were always available through Whatsapp if we had any questions.
The room itself is comfortable and very clean, felt like a Europe standard room. The amazing hot shower and water pressure is worth mentioning, best I ever had in Sri Lanka!
We ate both breakfast & dinner here and all food was very delicious, no need to go searching for restaurants from far.
We explored the beautiful area & Maskeliya from here by scooter, was definitely one of my favorite stays!

The property was very clean however it was difficult to locate via the directions on Booking.com
The sound of the early morning prayers woke us up on the two nights we stayed.
Steep incline to the homestay, can be difficult with heavy luggage.
We received a lovely warm welcome from the host and she told us best ways to get to our destinations.
She always kept in touch to make sure we were safe.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Very friendly host.He would help with local planning, trips and tips..There are at least 4 tea lplantations nearby, one of them allows visitors it is Dunkeld tea factory..The highlight is Gartmore waterfall where You can swim at the very top of the fall. Easy ride by tuktuk.
The location is easily accessible from the main road and parking is available. The view is exceptionally beautiful. The family room we booked is spacious, clean and comfortable. We were warmly welcomed and host and the staff were friendly and helpfull and did the maximum to make our stay enjoyable.Surely they know what they are to do. Meals were delicious. The hospitality we received is best. Definitely worth the money spent. Would visit again.
This place is Amazing ! Comfy, cosy, well equiped, quiet at night. I could have stayed a month easily !
The food is super good and the daughter of the hosts is a very skilled and passionate ayurvedic doctor. She can make ayurvedic massages but also helping you treating naturally your diseases.
I was trekking around, there are waterfalls, a nice lake with tea fields, and the section 8 of the pekoe trail from Norwood (going by bus) in the most beautiful tea fields of sri lanka.
Great location to discover the waterfalls in the area and Adam's peak. From Hatton it's easy to reach by bus (every 30 minutes).
Nice family run guesthouse with basic rooms, good food, great view, everything you need. Great value for little money.
Great location to climb Adam’s Peak, beautiful views. David and Vajira were excellent hosts, super friendly and made us feel very welcome. They even gave us fruit and tea to bring on the early morning climb and made us breakfast on our return!
Situated in a beautiful location a few minutes away from the reservoir. Lovely hosts. This Guesthouse and area warrants two nights but, like us, most people only plan for the one so they can complete Adam's Peak. They know some lovely tuktuk drivers to take you there.
