Beautiful gardens around the property, delicious home made breakfast & dinner, and absolutely fantastic view of Sigiriya. Staff were really lovely, however we did have a few communication issues throughout our stay. Rooms were comfortable and clean, but basic (as expected).

I had a wonderful stay at Otunna Guesthouse. Dinesh's family welcomed me with exceptional hospitality and a strong sense of responsibility towards tourists visiting Sigiriya. Honestly, I don't know how I would have gotten around Sigiriya and its surroundings without Dinesh's help. A native of Sigiriya, he knows the area inside out. He arranged most of my transportation with honesty and precision, including personalized transportation services by car to and from Sigiriya and by tuk-tuk within Sigiriya. More than just a guesthouse, Dinesh and his family provided me with tips and information on getting around Sigiriya, almost like a travel agency. My room was a little dark, but I really appreciated its cleanliness. The fresh and generous breakfast was amazing. Communication with Dinesh via WhatsApp was quick and easy. Sigiriya is a farm village so it can get a bit noisy early in the morning. There are plenty of restaurants around the guesthouse. Thank you for the wonderful stay. Please keep up the good work.

We checked in early because of our flight but the owners were so nice they prepared the room for us in 10 minutes. The room was really clean and the bathroom is big and clean. The view is to die for from the lake view room. They have a lot of lights on the walking path so no difficulty to walk at night. There are a lot of restaurants and pubs around the lodge very convenient and easy to commute. The lion rock and pidurangala rock is also very close to the lodge. Super easy to move. Owners are super nice they helped us with a lot of things. Anything you need, you can just ask them.

It's a family-run small cottage. The owner, Varun, is very hard-working. Value for money. The paid dinner was quite fresh, tasty, and most importantly for my parents, vegetarian.

Very calm place in the forest. Birds are singing. Near to the Sigiriya Rock. Rooms are neat and clean with AC, Fridge, Fan, Balcony and what you require minimum. Firefly tour at night available. Breakfast is good start with fruits plate with yogurt followed by omelet and sausage. I like it.

Great hosts, kind and welcoming! The room was large, super clean, comfortable beds, great and large breakfast. We were with a 6-year old and a 2-year old kids, and the hosts treated them so nice, spoiled them with sweet pancakes and fruits at the breakfast.
